"I purchased the floor saver with this tent and posted a review on that ALPS Mountaineering Lynx 1 Person Tent Floor Saver ."
"It has three mesh stash pockets inside the tent, one is suspended above the head area and removable as a gear loft. The poles are made of sturdy aluminum with a nice color to them, and the tent is very fast and easy to set up and take down. You can just go to the local fabric store and buy coated ripstop nylon by the yard and make your own footprint for a more reasonable price. All in all, this is a great tent for the money, good design and plenty of room for one person to sleep comfortably in and have all of their gear safely stored and protected within the unit."
"At the time, I was planning a 2-night backpacking trip and needed a tent ASAP. I did a minor amount of research on 1-person backpacking tents and got spooked by prices and negative reviews. Despite a few unnerving reviews about this tent having issues, the price point got me. I'm 6' and I weight about 215 and my head and feet didn't touch either wall. I forgot my footprint the first time I took it out and was a bit concerned the ground would damage the base of my tent. Use the money you saved to buy a better sleeping bag or air core, because that's where the comfort is at night. Not that it matters a whole lot, as it was a bit less than a pound heavier."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I narrowed my selection down to 4 tent brands (Big Agnes, Sierra Design, MSR and REI) based on size, weight and price. I came across the Morrison tent as a suggested option from Amazon and the sale price caught my eye. Photos and specs gave the impression that it was constructed equivalent to other brands and wasn't a bargain basement, off-brand, big box store cheapo tent. The tent comes in at 4 lb 11 oz, which is about 3/4 lb more than the Big Agnes Copper Spur ($400-$500) and a little less than a half pound more than the REI Quarter Dome ($190) and Sierra Design HT ($279). Other tents of comparable sized footprints made my MSR, Mountain Hardwear, North Face and Big Agnes were much heavier (+5lbs) than this tent."
"I just finished a 6 week camping trip that took me to every state west of Iowa. Yes, I packed up the tent wet and did repeatedly over my trip. The first thing that started to leak were the air vents on the fly. It was put up and down at least 3 times a week as I moved from park to park. I have not camped in the rain since I found water under my air mattress thank goodness it was dry camping after that. If you leave open the vestibule doors and it rains you will have a wet tent. No matter how much I closed up the tent, turned it, moved things in front of it I could not keep the sand from blowing into the tent. The tent would be fine in 106 degree weather if you could remove the fly but with the sand issue that was not an option. If there is any chance of rain you need to make sure the vestibule doors are closed or you will get wet. If it's a hot dry day you can open the doors and or remove the fly and you will be fine. I tried using the Coleman stakes in the vestibule opening but they don't operate the same."
"This tent is fantastic."

The Lynx, which has aluminum poles,is very similar to our Taurus, which is one of our best-selling tents. Polyester tent fly resists water and UV damage while adding two vestibules for extra storage space.

Find Best Price at Amazon"I debated between the one person model and the two person. Since I was solo I was able to keep my gear inside the tent, which gave me piece of mind that I was not going to have accidental encounter with a scorpion or other desert critter in my gear. I saw the storms coming up and I put the rain fly on, it took me about two minutes which was right on par for the amount of time it took to set up the tent (5 minutes). I was able to open one flap on each of the vestibules to get a nice breeze through the tent and still keep the rain out. The little mesh "gear loft" in the top of the tent was great for keeping track of small lightweight objects. I read a review of a person that's complained it was hard to get into the tent while they were wet and muddy, and wanted to leave the wet gear outside in the vestibule."
"No leaks, Rain fly overspread with room to stow boots and bags under cover at night in easy reach, fly doors can be pegged and still half open for easy in-out. When I forgot to open them one night the tent did sweat inside, when open they will "vent" and breath. After a rainy night, carried tent still set-up to parking spot next to bike in morning sun...dried in minutes, shake off the light debris, roll into bag, and go."
"It's durable, has a lot of room and packs small enough and light enough to strap it under my 5.11 Rush 72 and hump it all day. I sprayed my tent down with some Kiwi waterproofing around the seams and where the material meets the "bathtub" floor for a little extra protection."
"We set the tent up in our living room to check it out to make sure there were no defects or missing parts. We will be using this tent for tour cycling so we don't need a lot of extra space. The 2 inside pockets and overhead net will be great for personal items while sleeping. Now for the main reason I bought this tent I will have to try it out in the rain to see if it is waterproof. Used in temps down to 30 in NM, and in hard rains with no water inside the tent."
"I would easily rank this as good as the mountian hardware hammerhead 2 or rei half dome."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Great tent. There are pros and cons... Pros: Carry bag - the tent comes neatly packed in a carry bag, with tent, poles, rain fly, ground stakes, door mat, and instructions. Materials - the tent material seems to be of good quality, and should hold up well when taken care of. Screens - the tent has large screen panels on the "ceiling", which makes for a great view when the rain fly is not on. I will put in one mattress, and leave the other half of the tent for my kids Pack n' Play, and gear. I also purchased some Coleman Seam Sealer, and sealed all the seams inside the tent, and the rain fly. Some of the seams are taped, but it's just good practice to spend the time to do this, no matter what brand/cost/etc tent you have."
"This was my very first time setting up a tent and camping out with 2 kids and 2 dogs in tow, and it took me just 15 minutes to set up the tent. Based on forum advice I got some tent pegs that were easy to drive into the ground so I did not use the ones that come with the tent, so I had a very easy time setting it up. The tent is very well ventilated so it got cold and airy in the tent in the night. The white walls of the tent reflect light well and there are 2 pockets on the side where you can put a flashlight facing upward to illuminate the whole tent. I put the pegs, poles and my extra tarp inside and will find another bag for the tent itself. Now that I've learned that's it's not too hard to set up a tent, I plan to go camping more often with this Coleman Sundome tent. Update 7/9/2015 -. The 4 person tent held up well and has been put up and taken down about 5-6 times already. I also purchased the Coleman 3 person tent, it is about 7 ft by 7 ft inside and just about fits an Intex Queen size air mattress. On a recent camping trip the 3 person tent worked for 2 teenagers and a dog inside the tent. We were both warm and dry in our 4 person and 3 person tent and it was kind of fun to hear the rain beat hard against the tent."
"The ventilation is great with the upper walls screened. Even with the rain cover on you still get great ventilation through large screened openings on the front and back walls of tent. Without the rain guard installed, the upper walls of this tent are screened so you can see the sky and stars."
"Nice tent."

"The tent took a while to get used to, but I now can put it up very quickly."
"Rain resistant,, tough to beat for lightweight adventure."
"Roomy, easy setup, simple design, effective and lightweight especially considering the size!"
"This was a Christmas present for my daughter who wore out my Mountain Hardwear tent (bought by me in 1994). Very roomy and the roof height allowed even my 6'3" frame to have a lot of space in all areas of the tent."
"With the openness of the tent, it really suits 3 of New Zealand's seasons and even maybe winter in lower and warmer areas."
"Great bag design makes setting up and breaking down easier and faster."
"Plenty of room for 2 but for one you have room for all your gear inside."
