Best Bike Lube
Boeshield T-9 was developed and licensed by global aerospace leader, The Boeing Company, to fill a need for high-performance, long-term metal protection and lubrication. T-9's rust preventative spray uses a unique formulation of solvent carrier and paraffin wax coating engineered to penetrate crevices deeply, displace moisture, dissolve minor corrosion, and leave a clean, waxy coating with lasting durability-without using Teflon, silicone, fluorocarbons, MEK, or acetone. Whether it be automotive, bicycle, industrial, lawn and garden, marine, RV or tools, T-9 continues to be the best option for rust prevention and waterproof lubrication. T-9 stays liquid long enough to permeate metal crevices and seep deep inside assembled components to leave a durable protective coating as well as lubricating and protecting-all without dismantling your equipment. Boeshield loosens rusty and corroded parts and is safe on paints, any metal surfaces, plastics, and vinyl.

"This stuff was created by Boeing aircraft to protect there aircraft and highly used in marine craft now so the stuff really works I use 1 can every 4 years on 4 outdoor key locks and one deadbolt and reapplied one a year and there just fine after several years plus compared to WD40 is clear so no apparent application and last up to a year compared to 1 month with wd40 so well worth the price."
"After lubing the rollers and hinges, remove the tube and spray directly to coat the door springs then activate the door a couple of times."
"I have used it on trailer hitches, hinges, screw jacks and law tractor accessories with good results."
"A YouTube video suggested this for use on sticking automatic running boards, such as on my 2013 Lincoln Navigator."
"We have salty air at times in Hawaii and this does a good job of protecting all the moving parts from corrosion."
"If you have never tried this product, and you have a boat, do yourself a favor and get it, I have used this for years, as an aircraft owner, it is great stuff, you spray it on and it forms a waxy protective lubricant that lasts, excellent for salt water applications and such, spray lithium grease is not even in the same catagory."
"I had taken it apart cleaned it and lubed it using different kinds of lubricants but no success."
DRY Lube is especially recommended for riding on or off-road in dry, dirty, dusty environments, yet it holds up well in moderately wet conditions. A dry-style lube that goes on wet but then sets up dry in a paste-like consistency to resist attracting and absorbing dirt for maximum performance in typical cycling conditions.

In spite of their claims of being dry lubes, they all seem to attract a fair amount of road grime, so you have to reapply more. often than one would like."
"Does the best job of smoothing out your pedaling and not attracting too much dirt and grime on your your chain and gears."
"Good lube, the nipple of the top tends to get gunked up and makes it hard to get the fluid out in a consistent fashion."
"Works well, does not seem to attract dirt."
"Lubricates my bike chain well."
"Been riding out west and it super dry and dusty, however I got caught in a storm, after I got done I simply wiped the chain clean and it still looked good enough to keep roding."
"The lubricant seems fine, but the dripper on the bottle is more of a sprayer."
"Never had a problem till last bottle stopped spraying half way through."

Find Best Price at Amazon"At the end of those years (when my bike was finally stolen) my chain, crankshaft, and cassette were still gleaming silver and pristine, like when I bought them. I asked the bike guys for advice and they suggested Purple Extreme Wet Ride. It's a heavy, waterproof oil that's supposed to last a really long time and resist water super-well. I used it for a while but it is markedly inferior in many ways: 1) everywhere there was enough lube it immediately collected dust and turned into a VERY thick paste 2) everywhere the lube was thinner I started getting little rust spots 3) if your clothes ever touch anything with lube, you will have a nasty black spot 4) it's incredibly difficult to remove the paste, even with solvents. I finally got sick of that oil and (through a lengthy, very difficult process) removed all of it that I could. Just make sure with this bottle that you are very thorough because there are all sorts of tiny little spots that need lubing and protection that you may not notice until they start rusting or wearing out. Also be sure to clean the bike very thoroughly before applying this, because when it dries the waxy coating will hold a piece of grit on there really hard. This is an excellent protectant and pretty clean, so put it on both interior and exterior surfaces. Because it's clear and thin on application it can be hard to tell whether something is coated to I run my finger over every surface to ensure I get some on it. T9 is primarily marketed as an excellent rust protectant, not a lubricant. You put a drop on and capillary action sucks it in to penetrate in a very thorough manner. It is not, it is a waxY lube, and the light oil does pick up dust, but only a little bit of it. It washes off your clothes or fingers easily and doesn't stain to the same degree as an oil lube would. I have heard people say wax is a less effective lubricant than oil and I am willing to believe it, but I don't know of any way to measure actual internal friction. It definitely has a solvent in it that gets in the air, so lube in a ventilated place, but even nearby people won't smell it. Don't be fooled into thinking the lube got dirty and gross just because the light oil has turned brown or black. The waxy base will still be clean and the light oil doesn't attract enough dirt to cause wear. It is easy to clean off the bike prior to re-application because the dirt and salt doesn't soak in to the lube. One of the big problems with this is that it is clean enough and dry enough that sometimes you can't tell whether there's enough on it or whether it needs reapplication. I just get in the habit of lubing once in a while despite the fact that my bike doesn't start making noise or rusting. It may well be that this stuff actually lasts, like, all year but I never go that long without applying. It's a good mix of clean, long lasting, and effective, though probably not the best lube in any one of those respects."
"The benefit of the doubt goes to the T-9 solvents releasing greasy stuff in the links which is OK but it was pretty wet. On the plus side, I don't think my drive train has ever been quieter; it's über-smooth and shifting is excellent. I have been using Finish Line DRY Teflon Bicycle Chain Lube but I think it is too sticky. Penetrating, cleaning, lubricating, long-lasting...sounds like a recipe for good stuff there. It's good stuff for a lot of applications around the house/yard/car but the jury is yet out on it as a chain lube. I'm thinking that initial use flushes out some sludge in the plate overlaps that doesn't get washed. [11/4] I have just repeated the cleaning, drying & reapplication and am waiting for 2 hours as directed."
"I was long time user of ProLink, then I used RockNRoll, so I decided to try T-9 next based on some good reviews. It definitely does not last throughout an endurance mtb race (6-8 hrs)."
"At this point I don't fully de-grease too much, every week after a few rides ill put this on over the old lube to stop any grinding or squeaking as it does have a bit of a short life, but the 4 minutes to add some more lube is worth it for no greasy stains."

"So far it works great - just as well as the regular green version - and it doesn't have that strong smell, which I don't miss, really."
"I usually mix it 50% with water and that makes the price much lower than many other types of degreasers."
"I love this stuff."
"Works really well as a degreaser and general cleaner, smells good, not too harsh, and a good size bottle to get me through a tough and greasy winter."
"Love this cleaner, used it to help a friend's restaurant get rid of "soot" and grease knocked it right off the pans I was extremely surprised."
"Even the product sold in spray bottles is full strength and can be diluted at least 8 to 1 for general cleaning, which saves product and helps with the color/fragrance issue."
"It's an amazing degreaser, I use it to clean resin out of my pipes and it takes a couple days but it works great and is reusable."

Find Best Price at Amazon"The clamp does rotate 360 degrees, but spinning the clamp with the bike on the stand does feel like it is tearing up the plastic teeth."
"You can put the bike at any angle, but you may have to move it back and forth in clamp jaws to maintain good balance/stability. Though the feet give decent stability, hitting the brakes on a spinning fat-boy would probably tip it. The mechanism used to lock it is quite good and should keep the teeth meshed reliably, but the plastic will wear and the lash that is inherent in this design will only grow. On the plus side, the gear tooth arrangement is positive locking, shouldn't slip under normal use, and provides very fine angle selection. Still not wild about interlocking nylon gears but cost/benefit is key and so far the the locking system is just fine and this remains a good value. I have accidentally noticed that I can bind the seatpost while setting the height to keep the front wheel on the ground."
"Right out of the box and the clamp that holds it up right slipped and failed with my bike on it..."
"I bought the stand for two reasons, one to save my back from having to bend over so much and work on my bike and two, I don't live close to a bike shop and really want to learn how to easily work on my bike without having to drive an hour and pay someone else to work on it. I think this was the perfect stand for the price and after setting it up and working on the bike it is well worth the money. The only thing I would say is a small pain is where to clamp on the bike itself and once to you do that getting the right angle so the bike is up enough to work on."
"I've used it with my old M5 Specialized Stumpjumper, Niner Air 9 RDO and Niner BSB 9 RDO, for various maintenance and repair work. The plastic teeth that hold the clamp are strong and work very well, just smart and don't smash them together and rotate the clamp when they are not fully disengaged and they should hold up fine."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I have never owned a carbon fiber bike before and I just got a Cannondale HiMod Synapse Dura Ace Di2 - quite an investment - for my 50th birthday. So the journey to buy a torque wrench began - I poured over reviews on amazon for days/weeks before deciding to purchase the Park TW01 and 02. So, I got freaked out by any comment by any user that mentioned fears about calibration errors on new torque wrenches and this included the Venzo. I put it in my cart, but I just could not pull the trigger - that nagging doubt really stuck. I have used torque wrenches of this type before and didn't really like them - they are awkward in a LOT of circumstances, but I decided to just bite the bullet, better safe than sorry right? I went to the steering tube stem bolts, set the dial to 5Nm and turned - instant click (yessssss!). Let's hit the RD bolt - set to 8Nm and I have to turn slightly before the satisfying click - a little loose, but that is ok. Not fearful of damaging any thing here. I KNEW that I had not properly torqued those bolts with the TW02.... with the Venzo everything was SO much easier, less awkward, and I love the CLICK. I would say buy with confidence - I am sure the hard core Park Tool guys will sniff at this but meh..."
"I’ve used it a few times, and the “click” feedback when you hit the correct pressure is easily recognized."
"The dial only has even numbers, so you need to adjust the setting between for the rest."
"I order this tool for keep my new bike in tune."
"I recently upgraded my groupo to Di2 and was looking for a reasonably priced torque wrench to help make the switch."
"The Venzo Bike Torque Wrench is very High quality and accurate."
"I got this a while back for torquing bolts on my carbon fiber bike."
"This wrench works pretty well, I would recommend it if the price is right."

"There is some fluid that manages to get to the floor under the bike during the process so it's a good idea to spread out a rag or two rags prior to starting."
"Love the cleaning solution, although the chain cleaning rig and brush are made fairly poorly."
"Now I'm using Simple Green to clean the chain."

I've heard others need much more sophisticated tooling, but as I'm not re-building bicycles generally, this has been perfect for regular maintenance and needs."
"Don't get me wrong, this tool is more durable than I expected but I wish it had more wrenches and less spoke and chain tools. We never toyed with spokes and never had the need for a chain tool."
"This is a little more bulky than I thought it would be for a bike tool, but it does contain everything you need and I was able to make it fit into my saddle bag along with two spare tubes and a first aid kit so I guess the bulkyness is not that big of a deal."
"I purchased this tool mainly because I wanted the chain tool and figured it would be nice to have extra tools as well."
"I had read good things about the Alien II and I really wanted a multi-tool that had the versatility in it's tool-set to complete most if not all DIY tasks whilst on a ride or when not on the road."
"And if you're new to this tool, make sure you read the instruction manual so that you are familiar with its proper operation so that you don't have to figure things out when something goes wrong out on the road or trial."
"The Alien II seemed great when I received it but the first time I needed it while riding with my kids to fix a problem on one of my kids bikes, the metal piece shattered from low torque from one hand... You would expect a tool like this to use a higher quality metal that doesn't shatter on first use."
