Each strand is tightly woven and approximately the same diameter as the Paracord Planet MIL-C-5040. #2 - Paracord Planet. I believe the manufacturer for this cord to be E.L. Wood based on the black & yellow strand markers. It contains 7 inner strands and a flat-ribbon sheath weave. The outer sheath is also a ribbon style, but each strand contains more nylon than 5Col or Paracord Planet. While the inner strands are not as tightly woven as other brands, the outer sheath is strong and resists unraveling. While the idea of having jute, mono, and snare wire in the same cord is enticing, it begins to question the physical properties of the cord under stress and how to utilize the jute, mono, and wire without having to deconstruct your 550 cord."

Find Best Price at Amazon"This is their mil-spec paracord with the 3 additional survival cords added, brass wire, waxed jute and 25lb monofilament fishing line. I will say however, that the Titan brand cord (with the added survival strands removed) feels stronger than what I had access to in the Army. I had no issues with the 550 and plan to purchase a lot more of the regular Titan cord without the added strands. 2nd, the fishing line -. I did not actually fish with the monofilament line in the Titan cord, but it appeared to be good quality. One drawback to the use of this as a survival cord for fishing is that it is a challenge to withdraw the individual lines from the SurvivorCord without cutting it down to about 5' lengths. If, in a survival situation you needed to fish, I am sure you could pull all 100' but would have to pull all the internal strands out together making it so that you would no longer have the full 550lb cord. I did a direct comparison to another paracord being sold as a survival item, only adding a fire starter, with mil-spec 550 and having an additional inner cord that is red and is a proprietary chemical fire starting "tinder" similar to the waxed jute in the Titan cord. While the red fire starter worked about as well as the jute in the Titan cord, the cord itself was not even close to as strong as Titans and the individual strands inside were about 1/2 as thick and it cost more than double what the SurvivorCord costs. But again as a survival item, I do not think those 2 negatives matter as much and if you are only interested in using it as a cord, get the regular Titan cord not the SurvivorCord. I just was very impressed with this cord and wanted to get a lot of my findings out there for others that may be considering this cord."
"I was immediately interested in getting my hands a sample of Titans SurvivorCord the second I got the email notification. After standing on the cordage for about 60 seconds I untied the ends and started tying a survival bracelet. Again assuming the weak link would be the copper wire, IF it was still intact it would certainly be bent into an unusable knot. I let it sit for an hour and then cut both ends off the cordage and stripped the inner strands out to see how it had held up. To my surprise the copper wire was intact and easily straightened into a very functional snare for small game. The were very high quality and easily separated into 3 smaller strands giving me 21, 6 foot strands that could be pieced together for longer fishing or cut smaller pieces for shelter building."

"Fishing line is basic, and would be better than the copper wire for snares - if you get to them in time. Not that any of it is good for snares except for the braided inside line (sort of). Imagine the copper wire is good for hacking electronic stuff, low amp."

Ideally, if the anchor gets stuck, you can pull on the rope hard enough causing the zip tie to break and changing the angle your pulling at and hopefully dislodging the anchor."
