Find Best Price at Amazon"I cant believe that some people are complaining about this knife rusting, its carbon steel it will rust if you do not take care of it which basically just means oiling it once in a while."
"Since the one I got had the carbon steel blade, I put a forced patina on it by letting it sit in hot (almost boiling) apple vinegar. I wrapped the sheath in paracord and waxed the blade. The same model, but this time I got it with a blaze orange handle and sheath and a stainless steel blade (obviously no need for a forced patina with stainless steel)."
"The blade thickness makes it rugged and stiff enough to get through many things I slice open; heavy duty cardboard boxes, heavy fabric, and ropes. I put them in my tool kits, shop, fishing boxes, and bug out bags."
"Obviously one of these blades isn't as strong as a properly forged blade (they are cut out of sheet stock), but they are made the same way as most mass produced knives and they start with better steel than most brands."
"The hard plastic sheath isn't much to look at, but it holds the knife securely, even with my preferred upside-down neck lanyard carry. (I drilled a small hole in the tip of the sheath and ran para through it). I wouldn't regularly baton with this knife, as the blade is a bit thinner. For skinning, carving, processing kindling, all my cordage work, it's an absolute joy to carry and use. While the blade is carbon steel, holding and taking that excellent edge, it WILL NOT strike a spark off ferro."
"I wasn't expecting much from this knife, in fact I thought it would be very thin metal, but was surprised at how good of quality the blade is."
The Companion features a 4.1-inch (104 mm) blade of hardened Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel with a three-quarter tang for outdoor and marine applications where knives are commonly exposed to dirt and moisture. Blade length: 4.1 inches (104 mm); Blade thickness: 0.1 inch (2.5 mm); Overall length: 8.6 inches (218 mm); Weight w/ sheath: 4.1 oz.

I also packed my cold steel srk san mai iii for heavier work yet hardly unsheathed it. The mora bushcraft black and mora companion filled my belly with fish and my fire with feathersticks and fine kindling to start the fire for cooking!"
"At this price I ordered a second for myself, so now my wife has a black companion with a purple kydex sheath and I have a black with carbon fiber sheath. I have Bark Rivers, Spydercos, Kershaws, Smith and Sons and others but for bike touring and backpacking, where weight matters I grab the Mora Companion."
"This is one of the best knife at this price range. It is a versatile fixed blade outdoor knife of hardened Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel. Here are some specs of this knife. - Blade length: 4.1 inches (104 mm). - Blade thickness: 0.1 inch (2.5 mm). - Overall length: 8.6 inches (218 mm). - Weight w/ sheath: 4.1 oz. 2."
"What is the best paring knife? A quality fixed blade."
"The neutral: Blade is about as thin as any kitchen knife, so i've been hesitant to go full abuse on it. Prying tin lids are fine, wouldn't go pass 30 degrees of bending though. The bad: The knife can go into the sheath both ways but can only lock in through one way."
"Same look and feel as the bushcraft but in stainless steel so it's not going to be nice to sharpen when it gets dull and it doesn't have the survival gear built into the sheath."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I'm writing not only to praise this knife, but also the company that makes it - and the several other Kershaw folding knives I own and have given as gifts. I've recently changed my pattern of EDC, and wanted to put the pocket clip back on this knife. I emailed KAI to order the part, explaining that it wasn't broken or damaged or defective - I just misplaced it. I got a FAST response by email, telling me they were glad to send me a replacement clip free of charge."
"I've owned many knives and have come to realize I'm becoming less of a fan of serration for an EDC knife but that's a personal preference. I still carry this knife today and I love the fact that when I need a good blade I have this on my person."
"I decided to purchase this knife from Kershaw as a beginner, then I will move on to other brands and types."
"Absolutely worth the money, very durable, stays sharp for months with regular use, scratch resistant, and just small enough that it's legal to carry in my area!"
"My girlfriend's father wanted a "really good" pocket knife for Christmas. So I took the same qualities in that knife and narrowed it down to an all black, spring assisted, half serrated, pocket knife that was in my price range."
"Since the blade on this knife is just a smidge over three inches, depending on where you live, you might need to check your local ordinances on legal carry."
"Many people have asked me what kind of knife to get and Im a knife collector and I always tell them to get this knife first."
"Sharp, strong and light pretty much says it all."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I can't speak about the Silky's, I'm sure they are great... but I do own the Corona and find the Bahco to be a much better saw. I find the cutting of the Bahco to be superior and have a more natural 'feel' to it (may be something with the push/pull of the 2 saws, I will have to read up on that a little, don't quite get it). But I don't like the cutting action of the Corona at all, it sometimes tries to bend, drag, and just feels 'dull' even tho it cuts."
"Ideally I'd prefer something a bit smaller with finer teeth like a hacksaw blade, but I had trouble finding such a product on Amazon."
"After throwing a solid sharp on it with my WSKO (22.5 degrees) I processed 51lb of pork for sausage using only that knife...undersized and outmatched and it worked th rough it all."
"Really a very good product, can recommend in good confidence."
"It's located where you would want to grip the handle while in use so I kept hitting the button in the middle of cutting causing the blade to almost close up on me."
"I was introduced to this product by an outdoor/bushcraft/survival instructor named Dave Canterbury. The only problem I have with the saw is that the locking mechanism isn't more robust/heavy duty."

"It is very light and feels unbalanced when you swing it cold but when meeting the object your striking, it feels solid."
"This one came with a sheath where you put the shaft of the hawk in a hole in the sheath first and push it down until the head rests in the sheath. So you need to unbutton the sheath, hold the flap back, and lift the hawk out of the sheath."
"Only problem is that the metal band wrapped around the top to help secure the head to the handle is starting to show some wear in the back."
"I have kept it by the door when being asked for money from Heroin addicts in the neighborhood (yes they actually come to my door wanting money for a fix)."
"I loved it enough that I bought this (a second one) incase anything should happen to the first one. I have beat the crap out of the original one that I bought, and it is still going strong. The edge is strong and cuts very well."
"It worked perfectly for cutting wood for a fire and also cutting brush to make open up a space for their blind."
"definitely for the Zombie apocalypse or just plain chopping firewood or clearing dry brush around your house."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Although knitting with paracord presented me with its own unique challenges (if you need tips, let me know), I made the swing and it looks today exactly like it did 8 months ago! Dirt doesn't seem to stick to it and the steel cords I hung it with had to be replaced because they twisted and bent from use... but the swing is pefectly fine... just stretched about 20% in the middle from my kids and my 220 lb husband lounging in it on a regular basis! I also have to say that this seller is a very kind person, who really wants his customers to be happy and pleased with the purchase."
"I would rate this paracord as a 'full confidence' addition to my kit, meaning the paracord can be relied on to perform tasks within the parameters of its specifications."
"This was my feedback: "I have tested your 750 orange paracord, and just received the 25 feet of forest camo paracord that Adam sent. the inner strands are each three strand, instead of two strand, that some other manufacturers use."
"The Tough-Grid cord is very easy to work with knots because it is just slightly bigger than the Type III 550lb. If you do cut it, “burn” the ends immediately because the outer sheath will fray much faster than the Type III sheath (7 strands) since there are 11 strands tightly packed inside the Type IV Tough-Grid outer sheath. Don't burn the cord. Get the end of the cord burning, wrap the paper towel around it and run it down to and off the burnt end."

Reviews
Find Best Price at Amazon"There have been excellent reviews of both the Leatherman Wingman and Rebar, as well as all the others, but because there are so many models, it can be hard to choose which one to buy. I hope to help in the choice of economical "Full-size" multitools, as Leatherman calls a number of models. The "full size" line of tools are all about 100mm long when folded, and include the Charge TTi, the New Wave, the Rebar, and the Wingman. If your most common use of the tool will be for cutting with the knife blade(s), then the Wingman would be more convenient. If you want a multitool small enough to carry in your pocket, one that you will keep in your desk or kitchen junk drawer, if you will mostly use the knife, and find a scissor handy, I'd recommend the Wingman. If, however, you want a more fully competent multitool, that can compare well with the much more expensive Wave and Charge, a tool that includes excellent file, awl, and superior wire cutter, choose the Rebar. In any case, I have an "old Supertool", made when they still forged "USA" into the pliers, and for the life of me I can see no difference in quality. (Incidentally, they are still made in the USA, but a stupid California law keeps them from stamping it on the tool.)."
"My most recent one is the Surge which is an incredible multitool but too large and heavy to carry in anything but my EDC bag. The blade had a pretty rough edge on it so I cleaned it up a bit and it is quite sharp. The package opener is a great idea and I think this is an addition that should be in more of their tools in the future. I would pay more money for sure if it was done in the same quality as their other knives, or even upgrading to a Titanium model. However, for emergency kits, the car, in the drawer, EDC etc this is an excellent choice."
"The Charge Is by far the best multitool for me with the best quality, so in the scale where Charge is the best the Wingman is pretty good. The package opener has become my third most used tool behind the pliers and the scissors. Offer spare parts of their models so the enthusiast can modify or customize their tools. And to be able to buy different parts and we decided when or how use them, for example. I never use the saw in the Charge or the ruler in the wingman but I really use the bit lock and the package opener, and during weekends I used a lot the knife and the bottle opener."
