I've recently become frustrated with my pads as I'm a side sleeper and they simply didn't provide the level of comfort and weight balance that I desired. In my quest for comfort and light weight, I considered several new pads from therm-a-rest and Big Agnes. I used it several times this spring in 40-70 degree nights and it completely insulated me from the ground. My real concern is long term durability of a valve that protrudes at a 90 degree angle from the pad. Even if the valve proves the weak link after a few years, I'm willing to take a chance at the price. I highly recommend the Klymit Insulated Static V. ****UPDATE 1/4/2016****. I continue to enjoy all aspects of this sleeping pad. My original pad purchased several years ago shows no signs of wear. I've used these pads tent camping, in an ENO hammock, and when vacationing where there is a shortage of beds. The price has increased slightly over the years, but I still believe it to be a great value and worth the cost."
"I've started doing more camping over the past several years, and initially purchased a self-inflating sleeping pad that inflates to about 3/4" and serves to put a little insulating space between the ground and my body, but when I began looking into lightweight backpacking, I needed a different solution both for size and weight. I had no intention to go mattress surfing while camping, but with this pad it seems unavoidable, and when I wake up while using this sleeping pad I usually find myself having to shift it back to my desired position in the tent."
"Over the moon in love with this sleeping pad."
"It folds up fairly easy as well but you need to go a little slow to push the air out of all those little compartments."

A CAMP PAD FOR EVERYBODY: 3 sizes to accommodate all body types; Each pad fits its cot of the same name perfectly, or secures to most rail cots with loop and toggle attachment points; made with open-cell polyurethane, which means it keeps its shape.

"The only thing is, I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is and, as others have stated, it has an odd tendency to become wet and moist in the bottom of it after a night of sleeping, even when it doesn't seem like you really sweated or were hot the night before."
"But, it delivers on insulating you from the cold ground and smooths out the rocks you'll inevitable sleep on while camping."
"The pad has a very nice durable cover to protect the foam pad."
"very bulky but well worth it and not an issue if you're parking close to your camp."
"Apparently if you are serious about your camping or hunting you definitely need one of these plush camping mats to go on top of your Teton cot."
"I am a Scout leader and wanted something comfortable to use at resident camp for the week."
"I had purchased a Klymit Static V inflatable camping mattress for my frequent motorcycle camping trips, which didn't provide quite enough comfort for my aging back."

"If you get a small and you're older than 12 your feet will be sticking off the mattress, but it doesn't really make sleeping any less comfortable in my opinion. If you do get it I would recommend strapping it at the bottom of your pack or under your pack's brain."
"This thing is perfect for cold weather hammock hiking-camping."
"I overlap the 2 between my shoulders and knees so that the Z Lite adds extra cushion to my torso and protects the air mattress from punctures and moisture, and just the Z Lite mattress from my knees down."
"It does come at the cost of size, however I strap it to the bottom of my 45L Gregory Stout on all of my trips and it leaves me with plenty of space inside my pack for clothes, cooking equipment, tent, and sleeping bag."
"When I don't need the additional R Value I will open this up and put it inside the tent to cushion my knees while getting up and down."
"It saved my back and knees in my tent, honest to goodness. I also hurt my hip on this last hike and this sleeping pad still let me have a very restful night sleep."
"I already got rid of the packaging and box so I'm stuck with it, but please be aware that the color selection isn't just a color change, it changes the product from the Sol version to the lower R value regular non-reflective version even though the title still says Sol."

"While this is my first self inflating pad, I'm not new to the pad game. When the pad arrived I could barely contain my excitement as I ripped open the box and glimpsed a blue nylon bag containing my new pad. After unrolling and unfolding the pad, I opened the fill valve to listen to that sweet, sweet hiss of air inflating my new pad."
"It inflates and deflates pretty easily, and it is compact enough that it can be put in a pack but it is not designed for backpacking. This pad I feel added an extra 5 degrees to my comfort range and I look forward to spending a lot more time outdoors now that I have a sleeping system I really enjoy."
"Hammock or on a got, 5 stars. Ground... 2."
"As with other TNH Oudoors products, the valve is constructed to make inflating and deflating a breeze."
"I'm having to consider shedding 10lbs, tent at 5, this at 2.6 puts me 4lbs over where I want to be."
"Husband used for 2 weeks to sleep on floor due to bad back and unable to get into bed."
"Very lightweight and comfy."
