Find Best Price at Amazon"I would suggest that these poles are equivalent to a $100 all carbon pole from Swix or Rex. These would be a major upgrade for anyone who doesn't have 100% carbon poles. They probably aren't the best poles for marathons where an extremely light Swix pole would be better (but also cost north of $200)."
"My package was missing one of the plastic pieces that hold the wrist strap in place."
"The poles are very light, but the baskets are much too small for cross-country skiing on wild trails in the mountains."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Everything I hoped for in a 3-pin binding - AND my Alpina BC 1575 boots fit perfectly!!!"
"Like the previous reviewer mentioned, these are solid bindings and I can't see a situation where they would fail you."
"The single issue I came to find out was the sizing on this is slightly narrow as someone else said."
"Work very well, good mounting instructions."
"Love these bindings."
"very good product."
"Review updated November 2014: The Voile HD Mountaineer 3-pin Binding is a strong, 3-pin, 75mm cross country ski binding. The pins are also 0.05" higher than old 3-pin binding designs, which reduces the chances of rounding out the holes in your boot soles. It is a good, lightweight binding for back country cross country skiing with strong leather boots, light plastic shell boots, or the newer composite boots (nylon/leather/plastic) that have stiffeners or light-duty buckles. The Mountaineer is better for making downhill turns than an NNN BC type boot & binding system (which uses a rod in the front of the sole), since the upturned sides of this binding support the sides of the boot sole. UPDATED 2014: Voile also used to make a $80 "Release Kit" that could be used with the HD Mountaineer binding and other 75mm bindings with a standard three-hole mounting pattern. The problem is that on some wider thick-soled ski boots (such as the old Asolo Snowpine), this increased 0.020" thickness on the side upright parts of the binding prevents the boot sole from sliding in all the way to engage the pins properly. As far as I know, the only other comparable heavy-duty three pin binding widely available in the USA is the Rottefella Super Telemark Binding. Voile also makes a 3-pin cable binding called the "Voile 3-Pin Cable Telemark Binding" (for $85), which is basically the HD Mountaineer with a cable attached."
"If you are bringing spares on an expedition, these are a great choice although if the pin holes explode in a boot, the 3-pin cable binding still works, but then it is heavier."
