"Originally, I couldn't justify spending this absurd amount of $ on a water bottle. But then he spent all day out in 90+ degree weather and came back incredibly enthusiastic, going on & on & on about how amazing it is. So I got another one for my teenager, who needed a water bottle, but doesn't pay much attention to mundane things like this. Even the straw lid (bought separately) is constructed so that it is much easier to clean than, say, a Camelbak. Flip top lid is also easy to use & clean, but the company warns that it is not watertight, and it definitely isn't - bottle must be kept upright, or it spills. 8) No BPAs (in case, after we've all been using them for years, "they" decide that HDPE 2 or other plastics aren't safe, after all.). (Ok, vacuum bottle - you can put other stuff in, but still...). 2) The screw on cap works great, but is not so convenient. The 40 oz is also quite tall; it overbalances in pockets made for water bottles (e.g. on all our backpacks. If you're drinking in a library, people will notice ;-). I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a great water bottle."
"I'm wonder if there is different models or something I've shared photos I took off from Amazon... my original hydro flask has the logo that isn't filled in where all three new ones I bought have the all white filled in logo... is there different versions or what!?!"
"Hydro Flask is my favorite of the many insulated bottles that I own--and I own 4 Hydro Flask bottles."
"The bottle is very well made and does not disappoint whatsoever it keeps water cold forever and I mean that."
"I had a couple of prerequisites to the bottle I would end up buying: doesn't condensate, large enough, transportable, stylish, and keeps my drink cold. Outside in classes through the week at the University, the bottle kept Pepsi with no ice, cold for a solid day (so I'm example, from 9am till midnight still cold). I am very impressed and will be recommending this bottle to friends and those interested in a very solid Trusty bottle."
"BEWARE I don't think these are all authentic."

Nalgene Tritan 32oz Wide Mouth BPA-Free Water Bottle
Convenient wide-mouth design in a handy 16 oz size. Made of BPA-free Eastman Triton co-polyester with superior impact resistance; dishwasher safe on top rack.
Reviews
"I do have one initial comment and that is it feels like it could withstand a fair amount of use, everyday wear and tare without breaking or causing issues. edit 12/28/2017. Well it made it back from our trip, with no damage even after a few drops and opps, and whoops too."
"Other accessories I'm planning to purchase to get the most use out of my bottle are the Blue Desert SmarTube Hydration System to turn any back pack onto a hydration pack and Nalgene Bottle Sleeve (Black, 32-Ounce) to help regulate liquid temps."
"Nalgene bottles are great - they hold a lot of water and the wide-mouth ones don't open/leak in your backpack (have had problems in the past with the narrow-mouth ones unscrewing the top while bouncing around in a backpack, but never with the wide-mouth ones)."
"Never have I purchased one that had a plastic, perforated cover to rip off with ease ... thus no messing with the glue from the sticker that has stuck to my old bottles for years!"
"I unintentionally tested the durability of this bottle within the first couple days of using it by sending it sailing through the air and landing on our concrete driveway. It bounced and rolled and got some minor road rash but is now just simply broken in."
"I love the durability of the Nalgene bottles!"
"The seal in the cap of the Nalgene allows me to toss the water bottle in my car or put it in my purse and not worry about my things getting wet."

Hydro Flask Insulated Wide Mouth Stainless Steel Water Bottle, 32-Ounce
Hydro Flask's insulated water bottles are made of high quality food grade 18/8 stainless steel. Double wall vacuum insulated stainless steel water bottle keeps drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 6 hours.
Reviews
"Cold water stays cold, hot water stays hot, and even lukewarm water stays s***ty and lukewarm. My solution: fill bottle with boiling hot water, cap it, flip it upside-down and let it sit over night."
"If I just finish drinking all the water in here during my 9hr work day, I've had enough water for the day. (Since I drink water before and after work.). Once I put hot tea and then put it in the refrigerator overnight just assuming I will have cold tea the next day but when I opened the lid at work, it was still steaming hot."
"I now have two of the 64 oz, 1 40 oz, 1 18 oz and now the new 32 oz size. It's shorter than the 40 oz and 24 oz versions. The new 32 oz size has taken the place of my 40 oz as the one that I take with me everywhere. If I could only get one size it would be the 32 oz as it is the most versatile of all of the sizes that Hydro Flask has to offer."
"The uses are very apparent, but my main use is to keep a large container of water for trips or to refill my smaller bottles."
"Absolutely love the Hydro Flask...this is my first Hydro Flask. So, I ordered myself a Hydro Flask and order a Hydro Flask Straw Lid (this is an absolute must) Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Straw Lid, Black I immediately started using it and the water taste normal unlike the other one I purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I do mission work so out in the field all day in heat we yearn for nice fresh cold water and usually our water is lukewarm after being in the sun all day...NO MORE...nice iced cold water...in fact the longer the water is in the Hydro Flask the colder it gets."

Reviews
"In the past I always carried a General Ecology First Need XL water purifier and refilled nalgene bottles with it. When you're at high altitudes in the mountains this leads to longer "drink breaks" since you can get winded pretty easy while trying to suck up water through the LifeStraw."
"On top of one of the lower peaks, I drank from the most disgusting looking crevice filled with brown scum (see photo). Get one for your outdoor adventures, and one for your bug-out bag, which everyone should have in case of natural disaster (or apparently civil war, because the world seems to have gone mad)."
"As soon as I got this thing in the mail I went straight to the nastiest, most contaminated thing I could find."
"UPDATE - 4-25-2016. After more than 3-years of numerous weekend and 2-week excursions, my very first LifeStraw would not produce anymore clean filtered water. I really don't know how many liters of water that was used, but I can say this....with the coffee filter attached to this unit it out last my friends LifeStraw more than a year. Now, I use a Portable Siphon Hand Liquid Transfer Pump with this unit."
"So I intentionally got lost in the wilderness with a couple friends with the LifeStraw in my pocket and nothing else. We were going to die of dehydration out in the redwood wilderness, huddled around a useless LifeStraw. So I grab a cup of water and dunk the LifeStraw into it, letting it soak for a few minutes. Frantically I call my friends and tell them how it wasn't a piece of junk and how we were just stupid guys who didn't read the directions."

"I tested with manually (no viruses or bacterias mind you) contaminated water and inspected the result with a microscope. So there's a few prefilters included, use them, or this wont work (that means you can use the straw about 5 times then you're out of filters by the way). In comparison, the life straw flaws about as fast as unfiltered water, which is very comfortable. the pump activated) or other brands any day if you're going to use this often though, including the lifestraw+steripen (UV kills most viruses) combo which is pretty decent, light, and much faster."
"Awesome, hope to never need but there if I do."
"have not used, hope I never have to, will put it in my bug out bag but it seems to be a useful water filter do not think I can filter a lot of water at a time but enough to keep hydrated in a pinch."
"In a cleaner area of the water I used without the pre-filter and had no trouble drawing the water. The straw attaches right to the bladder so you can drink your filtered water from the bladder through the straw. Now I need to purchase another one for my bug out bag."
"I'm trying to figure out how to fill water bottles/ Camelback with clean water."
"Have not had a opportunity to use it in the field yet but it is easily portable and simple to use."

"I have an 18 ounce flask for the car and running around town that fits in the cup holder. I have a 64 ounce flask for road trips, since I am frequently driving cross country. My tea tends to discolor the interior with time and then a tiny bit of vinegar and some water swirled around makes it look like new again in seconds."
"I can't handle room temp water and this has solved the problem."
"I was excited to receive and use this water bottle but I got a regular lid as suppose to what the description says online."
"UPDATE I took this to Charleston South Carolina, sitting on the beach all day and I still had ice by the time I went home!"
"I did message the seller asking what I could do about this and unfortunately they said they don't offer any sort of warranty on it but I could try Hydroflask if I wanted to. I also have spoke with many friends who have ordered theirs directly from Hydroflask or through a different retailer and they haven't had any issues with their lids. Maybe there was just a bad supply of lids but very frustrating that I had to purchase another."
"The sport cap is perfect for a water bottle this size because when it's fully filled it's actually pretty heavy."
"It's not leak proof and since I use mine for hiking I'm always on the move and it leaks a bit. I don't mind it much, ill just go back to my original lids I usually use."
"This is a really hard review for me to write, I LOVE hydroflask products however I had an awful experience with this particular water bottle."
