"It is made of a very comfortable UV protecting fabric (some type of man-made poly) which is very smooth and very soft. I do know it does provide the necessary protection to minimize exposure to UV rays of the sun. Since this is a garment rated at 50+ UPF, this MUST BE drip dried; like any poly, exposure to the harsh heat of the dryer will void the capabilities of its UV protection and render it useless to protect from the sun's rays."
