Reviews
"I was a little late in committing to hiking boots, and I only wore these for a 3 mile walk before hitting the trail with my 28 lb pack. Our first day on the trail turned out to be the most arduous; we both hiked in our new Keens for over 7 hours across incredibly rocky, rugged terrain. I was pleased to find that I did not notice any increased drag or feeling of a weighted foot despite being accustomed to wearing hiking shoes. Each of our days had a high of about 75 degrees F. We were (fortunately) unable to test out how well waterproofed these boots were as we had gorgeous weather the entire trip."
"I recently returned from a trip to Peru where I hiked the Inca Trail in the middle of rainy season. I initially googled the best waterproof hiking shoes and these didn't make the cut, but they were in my price range and I went for it anyway. One woman actually bought Salomon hiking boots, which were rated #1, and she was upset about the quality/the fact that her feet were damp."
"I ordered the neutral grey/mineral blue and the color was somewhat off from the photos on Amazon. I am also a street size 7.5 so I ordered an 8 since the Keen website suggested to go half a size up."
"The second hike left my feet somewhat uncomfortable. Today was my third hike that lasted 5.5 miles, and my left foot is throbbing along the bone that is just below the large toe and under the pad of the foot. I even bought a pair of Keen hiking boots for a 16 year old to introduce him to the Keen brand."

Merrell Men's Chameleon Prime Stretch Hiking Shoe
This 21523 Merrell Men's Chameleon Prime Stretch Hiking Shoes streamlines its fit and trims the fat to prime your engine for fast-paced trail missions. Durable hiking shoe featuring stretchy topline and bungee laces for ideal fit.
Reviews
"What's different about the Prime: -The padding around the stretch insert (the hole you put your foot through) is tighter, and the padding is much thicker. This isn't the same material as the C4's, and since the material is thicker (twice as thick) my foot sweats more. -The shoe is stiffer than the C4's, most likely because of the padding that replaced the C4's padding. Not only that, but they sew this to the stretchable fabric of the Stretch Insert, which causes it to rip if you pull too tightly. OVERALL-. I am extremely happy with my purchase, the new shoe offers my foot more support and better traction."
"I like my shoes to fit a bit tight so I would recommend purchasing a shoe horn to help put them on."
"This is my first pair of Merrells and also my first for any slip-on type shoe. As for durability, it's too early to tell, but let me note that this pair replaced a pair of Reebok Zigtec (nothing heavy duty, just a shoe designed for trail running)that I abused for four years and pushed far beyond the limit of what they were designed to do, so yes, I do have high expectations."
"The other thing to notice is that when you slip the shoes on, you feel the back of the shoe as if it there was a cardboard holding it together."
"Should used a better adhesive for the toe, yet again a pair of these pricy shoes fails the quality test."
"The lower portion of the shoe is as comfortable as any other Merrell I have owned; however, the upper portion that is the stretch area is very uncomfortable."

Ahnu Women's Sugarpine Hiking Boot
Stand on the line with your heel and longest toe centered on the line. If measuring a child's foot, it may be easier to hold the paper up to their foot. Heel measures approximately 1".
Reviews
"I was able to wear socks in them just fine, and they felt comfortable enough for me to think a size 10 would be just fine. Again, when I wear my hiking boots I do not usually just walk on flat terrain or on carpet, so my boots need to be comfortable no matter what terrain I encounter. It allows for wearing them with hiking socks and for swelling in the feet while hiking. While on my video you will see me wearing some light cotton socks, I recommend wearing appropriate hiking socks with these boots (I wore the white cotton socks in my video only to show socks do not get wet when shoes are submerged)."
"I was planning a short hike on the Appalachian Trail last year during a week that included a few possible days of rain, so i was looking for a shoe that wouldn't soak and had some traction. After reading Amazon reviews on all women's hiking boots I decided that Ahnu was the most promising brand. I walked through mud and streams that reached halfway up my boots and my socks stayed completely dry."
"We also go to the beach in the off season, hike as much as possible, and once a week we walk a 12 mile course that varies from pavement, to rocky muddy trails, old muddy logging roads, to other varied terrain. I wore these for 3 hours out with the dogs in mushy snow, I had on a fairly thin pair of Merino Wool hiking socks, and my feet were warm, completely dry, and I felt sure footed the entire time. My dogs were glad that I was outside with them for such a long extent. Sunday, we went to the beach, we are talking the Atlantic Ocean in Maine, in January, I am not lying when I tell you my feet were 100% dry, we were at the beach for 2 hours, and I was in the water or on the rocks almost the entire time with one of my dogs, who I do Dock Dogs with, he is pretty much a K-9 fish."

"These are great boots! I live in Western New York where it snows quite a bit for half the year, and while these won't do as true winter boots - not insulated - they've been working out great when I just need to head out for a few quick errands and don't feel like pulling on my big ol' Columbia snow boots.. the tread is wonderful and I haven't had any slips or falls in them."
"This is my first pair of hiking boots. For my Keen sandals with no socks, I stay at an 8."

Reviews
"My foot is extra narrow at my heel, and wide at my toes, so finding comfortable shoes is virtually impossible for me (they're usually too snug near my toes and too loose at my heel)."
"Always hesitant to buy new shoes before a week of heavy hiking in Yosemite... but Merrell's have always fit me well and not seem to need that breaking in period."
"I love these hiking shoes."
"I owned these shoes years ago and decided to get another pair."
"I love these hiking shoes."
"Very comfortable walking up hill (hiking Colorado), walking down hill they tend to slide forward smashing the toes to the end of the shoes."
"This is my 3rd pair of these hiking shoes."
"The sole came off while I was hiking."

"I have 3 Scarpa hiking and mountaineering boots...A bit heavy but you get used to it...Used on 10-12 miles hikes in 2-3 feet of snow...But as soon I got the boots I put a German insert (Pedag Viva Outdoor (Master) Rugged, Durable Orthotic w/ Semi-Rigid Arch, Met & Heel Pad)...In the past bought expensive inserts and my feet would slide back and fourth, specially going down the mountain, not anymore, even in the Summer I get happy feet..."

"Just to small. GREAT BOOT."

"I’ve had my last pair of White Ledge boots for going on 10 years now."
"These are very comfortable for walking or extended hiking trips, and with a nice set of insoles will become my most favorite boots ever."
"They look like they will do well in mud because the lugs are deep enough for good traction, but not so deep that they won't be able shed the bulk of it."
"Proof is in their ability to stand up to my hiking regimen."
"I also worked around and lot of water and wet feet were an everyday thing."
"The fit was what I was worried about, other brands (Hi-Tec) a 13 is to small- these fit just right."
"My boyfriend uses these as his daily work boots and stands up nearly all day, sometimes for 12 hour shifts, and now will not wear any other shoe to work, because nothing else compares in comfort."
"I was looking for a hiking boot presentable enough to wear to work on casual Fridays, yet tough enough to hike a macadam path 2-3 miles at lunchtime (not challenging). On line,Timberland promotes its "Renewbuck Suede Leather" cleaner, along with a warning that it may discolor the upper."

Reviews
"I spent a lot of time looking for boots for our kids."
"They have not worn as well as expected, the toe has become super-scuffed and it really doesn't look very good anymore, but the kid doesn't care...he'll wear them until they fall apart."
"We (my grandson and I) are very happy with the Deer Stags Mack2 boot and will definitely be ordering them again soon."
"Only problem out of the box besides the smaller fit is one of the metal circles where you string the laces was already off but I just took pliers and pinched them back together and you cant tell it was ever off."
"Son loves theses boots."
"It is not like other boots where in the leather feels like a thin piece of paper and was just supported with harder stuff inside."
"Boots arrived quick and as expected; my son is a 2.5, I ordered a 3 to give him room to grow and it should give him the winter with the boots."
"Got scuffed up really quick and after daily wear for about 60 days the seams are coming out."

"Great boots!"
"If you hike long distances, and you don't need their water proof protection, I would leave these on only for the short 1-2 miles."
"I also have a brand new pair of these that I ordered in December of 2011, just in case they discontinue making them or the quality goes South, still sitting in their box."
"They look like they will do well in mud because the lugs are deep enough for good traction, but not so deep that they won't be able shed the bulk of it."
"I am totally happy with these boots and can't wait for the first rainy day to test their water tightness."
"I run around Seattle and surrounding suburbs in this in the rain, hiking around neighborhoods, and my feet are always dry."
"Best of all, they seemed old once I arrived home; but warm. Water, a brush and boot polisher and shinner makes them look new again!"

Reviews
"Upon inspection the product looks great and I would have given both pair 5 stars except the sizes promoted on the website are not accurate."
"My size L cleats are perfect."
"I then ordered a size X-Large and found that they were easier to put on if I use the proper technique."
"I put these on my boots and never slipped once on the ice and felt confident with every step."
"Therefore, bring a plastic bag with you to remove since they'll be dripping wet if you're going into a store with shiny smooth stores."
"Fits well enough but the plates that the spikes are attached to don't cover the bottom of your feet completely so you can feel the edges of the plates through the soles of your boots or shoes."
"We regularly got severe ice storms and all our roads were quite hilly, so for 10 years, all 180 of us tried every type of ice cleats we could find, from very expensive professional quality crampons designed for glacier climbing, to very low budget ones. As a result, we became very familiar with the quality and durability of the different types of rubber used in ice cleats. Unfortunately, as soon as I stretched the rubber of the Stabilicers, my heart sank because the sides were so extremely flimsy, just like all the other rubber cleats we had tried over the years."
"Caused me to walk on the outside of my foot and throws my balance off."
