"Needed goggles that would go over glasses."
"You can make ANY goggles virtually "fog free" (under most conditions) by marking them with plain bar-soap. Simply make a few swipes on the inside of the goggles with a plain white soap bar, then wipe the marks around until the goggles are clear and clean. If you work in very hot or cold conditions, there will be a differential in temperature between the inside and outside of your goggles or glasses. The soap film will help prevent condensation (fog) from forming under most conditions, but it won't work permanently in 90-degree sunshine or freezing temperatures. If for some reason you are required to work under those extreme conditions, you just have to remove the goggles and equalize inside-to-outside temperatures more often. Otherwise, It is the differential between the inside temperature and outside temperature of the lens that cause condensation."
"That creates a lot of dust and other dead stuff just waiting to get in your eyes when you do Honey Do things outside."
"Keeps almost all of the fine sawdust out of my eyes & is comfortable to wear for an extended period of time."
"I’ve been sanding thru anti fouling, paint and gel coat getting a 31’ full keel sailboat hull ready for 5 coats of west epoxy."
"The rubber around the glasses that go against your face is comfortable and tight to where no dust or dirt comes through."
"The attached image shows some of the dust caked inside the vented top section of the goggles."

Find Best Price at Amazon"That led me to research about how light affects sleep. Here's the summed-up version so you don't need to read all those scientific papers I have: - Blue light is great for being awake - that's why you wake up with a blue sky (read about melanopsin and melatonin on Wikipedia). - Blue light is not good for sleep; in the 470 nanometers range, that suppresses melatonin (a key hormone for sleeping well). - Humans (and other animals) evolved to sleep in the dark - or, at the darkest, full Moonlight (just 0.1-0.3 lux of light). - Longer wavelengths of light were the only source of light at night for most of human history (fire / candles). - Tablets / phones / screens / LED's and many CFL bulbs have strong blue wavelengths that are messing with our circadian rhythms and suppressing melatonin, because they have wavelengths shorter than 530nm - 540nm. So what to do in our modern world? Wavelengths of light from the setting sun would have shifted to red, and fire or candles were usually the only form of light available. It's messing with our sleep patterns, because our bodies evolved to only see red/orange/yellow light at night, NOT blue light/shorter wavelenghts. The trick is DO NOT take them off without closing your eyes or being in a dark room (a room with ONLY a dim red light would work too, as your melanopsin won't trigger melatonin suppression with red light). We don't need all this light at night; these glasses are just a band aid to help; what we really need is smarter outdoor lighting - aimed down, at the ground, at the proper color(s) so we aren't suppressing others melatonin. Artificial light at night messing up people's sleep is undoubtedly part of that - let's fix that so these glasses aren't as necessary."
"You will experience a more natural circadian rhythm while still indulging in the modern electronics. Highly recommended for students, workaholics, computer junkies, late night TV addicts, and lab assistants."
"I'm a blue light sensitive consumer who likes Uvex's tinted safety eyewear because they publish the spectral charts. SCT Orange is a non-polarized lens tint which blocks virtually all ultraviolet, violet, and blue light while allowing most of the longer wavelengths (from green to red) to pass through (see the spectral chart). They were originally designed as specialty safety/work glasses for industrial environments with high UV levels. But in recent years, consumers have learned how effective they are for blocking out blue light from TV, computer, tablet, and cellphone displays - in the hours before bedtime, to avoid sleep disruption. Lastly, the thin, clear, slightly rubbery anti-fog coating on mine started to peel off after a few months. Cocoons brand fitovers with 'Orange' lens tint fit very well over prescription glasses (if you get the right size) but the ones I bought are not fully 'blue-blocking' lenses."
"I can wear them with minimal lighting inside the house at night and not stumble over anything. Reading black text on a yellow-ish background from a computer screen is actually easier because my eyes don't strain from the uncomfortable blue light."
Offers UV Protection Too much exposure to UV light can result in various long-term eye issues. DESIGNED TO BE PROTECTIVE AND BUILT TO LAST - The NoCry Safety Glasses keep your eyes safe from direct and peripheral threats with a strong and durable polycarbonate wraparound construction.

"As a diesel technician, I needed glasses that could take some abuse from the day to day."

"Product works great and the packets let me take them everywhere!"

Nerdwax is a beeswax based blend of All Natural and Certified Organic Ingredients. specially formulated to keep your glasses in place while you live your life. With that being said, as with any product that comes in contact with your skin it is possible to be allergic to one of the ingredients contained in nerdwax. It is always a good idea to test a product on the back of your hand or arm first if you think there may be risk of an allergic reaction. If you do experience an allergic reaction please discontinue use immediately, remove all nerdwax from your glasses, and consult your dermatologist. Simply roll the wax out of the tube and apply directly to the nosepads of your glasses. Application times can vary from 1-2 hours to a Full Day depending on how much you apply and what you are doing! Apply when needed - lasts 1 hour to all day depending on how much you apply.
Reviews
Find Best Price at Amazon"Once the glasses are prepped and cleaned, the wax goes on perfectly, with little effort. I do have to re-apply after a few hours, but it's still way better than constantly pushing my glasses up all day long!"
"Guys, this product sounds cool, and the idea of it is great, but it just isn't worth it. But, moments later, as your body heat warms the wax and coconut oil, it begins to slide down the nose, slower, but still obnoxious. You'd probably have nearly the same results with a high wax Chapstick for a fraction of the cost."
"I used it on a trip to Hawaii (humid and sweaty) and my sun glasses actually stayed on bc of this stuff!"
"It's lovely being able to look down without my glasses ending up on the tip of my nose or falling off completely. I took the advice of several reviewers and prepped the nose pads with an alcohol wipe before applying Nerdwax."
"It is hard to apply because there is not enough space to roll it on the nose area of the frames, so I use my fingernail."
"Works great for me."
"I purchased this for my husband who hates wearing his glasses."
"Once the nerdwax was in my microfiber cloth I'd have to wash the thing to stop getting streaks."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I'm actually LAUGHING at those 1 and 2 star reviews and of those who claim the plastic shield is "misty", or "opaque"... and not clear. Perfect for what I'll use it for (grinding metal), and cheap enough to toss when it's scratched and hard to see out of."
"I used it as a prop for my sci-fi film."
"For all of the 1 star reviews that I just shake my head at...The mask is PERFECTLY CLEAR (you need to pull off both the INSIDE AND OUTSIDE protective film)."
"Two reasons...the replacement shields are overpriced in my opinion and I felt the swivel joints that hold the shield in place when it is raised and lowered seems rather flimsy."
"The only drawback and this isn't specific to this mack is that the static that builds up will cause sawdust to cling to it, which lessens visibility a bit but, can easily be wiped off."
"I use this face shield primarily for grinding, but I do also use it when working with chemical solvents (brake cleaner when cleaning carburetors). Like others have said, this face shield feels really light, and sometimes you forget you have them on!"

Find Best Price at Amazon"There is a reason these Howard Leight Impact Sport muffs are probably the most popular model of their type on the market -- they're dirt cheap and work very well. We're also big into the night vision world, so I was pleasantly surprised when the Team Wendy ComTac headset adapters worked with these muffs almost PERFECTLY (see photos I've attached to this review). They Howard Leights -- in our extensive experience -- are: MORE durable, MORE comfortable, have MUCH better battery installation, LOOK better, FEEL like they're higher quality, PERFORM better, and now that we've discovered they can use the Peltor helmet mount adapters, there is simply NO reason to ever get another set of the cheap Peltors."

Find Best Price at Amazon"In terms of fit, dust leakage around the side of the mask, and durability this is a better quality filter mask than the ones I have used in the past. The springy exterior of the mask keeps the straps from pulling out, keeps the valve where it needs to be and holds the mask shape. The compliant, soft surface of the interior is perhaps the most important feature of the design both in terms of the fit and in preventing from dust from working its way around the side of the mask into your nose and mouth. With a mask without a valve my warm breath rises from the mask and fogs my glasses."
"I had read about the terrible air pollution in the big Chinese cities and my wife is very sensitive to this, so I was looking for something to help her."
"I needed something to wear when I cut the grass bc I would get so sick with other mask, this along with my 3m Virtua CCS protective eyewear works miracles for me!"
"Leaks are minimal to none and the only place the tape sits is where the mask touches the chin--not where air would be coming through anyway. (the pictures are with duct tape, but gorilla tape stays put about 10x better on the felt."
"The elastic straps are nice and don't snag my hair, and the nose budge fits larger shnozzes more effectively the older models with less breath fogging your safety glasses They are also thicker, with more plush filter material."
"Like these because of the breath out center that helps lessen feeling of suffocation."
