"For years I was buying the plastic ones or the wire mesh ones and they would leave me feeling an array of negative emotions. A constant battle with food slipping under them and down the drain (which is a no-no with no disposal and a septic system) or getting caught and mashed into the mesh - so gross!! I was a little nervous when reading reviews that this thing was going to be tricky to remove to empty,, would I be able to?"
"This 2 piece stainless-steel kitchen strainers are truly a blessing in my home. We, a family of 5, are notorious for letting utensils or our cleaning squares scrappers go down the drain, then they get all scratched up by the garbage disposal :/. The strainers themselves are thin but strong and they stay put where you need them to be."
"The second set arrived a few days later and were in perfect condition. These work great, look great, and I am very happy with my purchase."
"Then you can either just throw it back in the drain and run a bit of water to see if what's left goes through, or do an official rinse and run the garbage disposal. This makes that less of an issue as no large things go down there anymore, and much less in general since it goes into the trash instead of being run through the garbage disposal."
"I've looked all around my town, including hardware stores, for really good sink strainers, I needed them really bad!"
"Strainers work great. I've struggled finding a good strainer. I've purchased $15 pop up strainers but they restricted the water flow so much when open that water wouldn't drain through fast enough leaving residue in sink. I ranked it 4 because it's very lightweight. But the flow is great and it looks good. Fits good and serves its purpose."
"Have had these for some time now, they keep out the tiny particles that, over time, clog the sink side without the disposal."
"These strainers fit perfectly."

"It's over 4 years later and this sink strainer still hasn't broken in the kitchen sink. b.)."
"this oxo good grips silicone sink strainer stays in place so that nothing goes underneath the metal top part, and the rubbery lower part catches everything aside from quinoa!"
"Catching small pieces of food or rings, this easily pulls inside out to wipe food stuff in compost or trash can."
"Great stopper, i am so glad to have a new one that works!"
"I bought one of these my sister because the strainer in her sink was rusted and cruddy looking, and I liked it so much I bought one for my house."
"This is good for what it is designed for, however it clogs up really quickly (which is both good and bad!)."
"I have a double stainless steel sink that came with a garbage disposal trap on one side and the little strainer / stopper on the other. Every time I would put a dish on the strainer side to soak before going to the dishwasher, it would push down the stopper and then the sink would hold icky water."
"I have seen a different model in the same brand with the stopper."

"After a careful inspection, turns out she was half right, so I determined to fix that part and ignore the other. I did have to mess around and shorten the existing drain pipe, but other than robbing me of more couch time, it was still pretty easy. The strainer basket is easy and convenient, and the plug cap has a nice tight fit if you need to fill the sink."
"One of the pictures that is part of the product description shows the width as 5.24 inches, which would have been too large. I followed the picture in the product description - both gaskets on the top of the sink; the black gasket on top, the white gasket on the bottom and closest to the sink."
"Total time of install, including taking the old one out, to running water through without any leaks, was 20 minutes."
"At my current house which was also built in the same decade I wanted to find something that would prevent my kids from “accidentally” dropping food down the drain pipe."
"Easy to install -- I just had to cut a couple of inches off of the white plastic drain pipe, since this strainer is much deeper (i.e., longer) than the old one."
"All of the junk drains into the baskets, so there's no more fishing with your bare hands, trying to pull out a piece of food from the drain."
"We love it so much, we will be buying another to replace our kitchen sink strainer as well."
"I had to adjust the length of the other pipes under the sink since this was lower than my old one."

"Because these are not approved for commercial use, and almost seem like a made for TV product, i had the expectations, that while these may save the consumer a lot of headaches; they are sort of second rate quality, when compared to the usual white hard pipes you buy in the store."
"We just ordered and installed a garbage disposal and I knew I would need new sized piping (ugh) but ended up seeing the snappy trap when ordering the disposal."
"If bend in tubing coming off disposal causes problem will be easy to rotate disposal & give a more gradual curve."
"You basically have to remove your old plumbing and put the new flexible tubing in its place. Important note: pay attention to the color of each gasket as some use a white gasket and others use a black gasket. I was really apprehensive at first about ordering but I would order another one in a heart beat."
"Sure, I could have saved some money going with the same sort of crap installation of home center parts that I pulled out while installing my new sink. I'm waiting a few days before I put the crap back under the sink in case I've got tightening to do."
"Every part needed was included and though the instructions are clear, not everything anticipated by the manufacturer was under my new sink."
"After I put this in (bending the pipes was like fighting with a very strong octopus), I was disappointed because I felt some dampness around the pipes. It has been about two weeks since installation and everything is dry and there are no sewer gas smells."
"Also, the material is all plastic and looks of poor manufacturing product; does not look sturdy; specially the flex drain pipes; they look like they are getting stressed too much in bends and turns that the inner accordion-ed parts are too thin and will end up cracking in a short while."

"This is true ONLY if using a flat lipped SS sink, and even then the rubber seal is optional as opposed to the putty (you can use only one, the putty or the seal with a SS sink, but not both). It's better said that you WILL need plumber's putty, and if you have a stainless steel sink, you have the option to use the thin rubber gasket (I'd use plumber's putty)."
"Update: As an aside, I also learned from my research that the best way to clean my disposal is to use citric acid. Having previously had no idea what citric acid was used for, I decided to order some from Amazon, going with the brand my sister uses: Citric Acid Powder - Ultra Fine Pure Powdered Crystals - Natural Preservative Food Grade Quality (16 oz) and gave it a whirl after 3 months of using my disposal. I let the citric acid sit with some water in the disposal for about ten minutes, and then I let it run for a solid 2 minutes."
"The immediate issues I have with this product is the plastic connections and the sound of the motor. This is the first disposal that has had plastic connecting the disposal to the sink."
"All I needed to do was to install the new fitting for the sink and take apart the p-trap to make it slide over the outlet tube (I needed to trim that tube to the same length as the one from the Badger)."
