Find Best Price at Amazon"I didn't have time to wait for the item to arrive from Amazon so I went to Home Depot and coughed up an extra $20 for the Badger 500 - Home Depot's branded version of this item. You'll need to do some very minimal wiring work to pull the wires from the terminals in the old disposal and attach them to the disposal. Make sure to attach the green grounding wire to avoid getting shocked when you switch on the disposal! I should mention that includes all the prep work (pulling everything out from below the sink), clean up time, and a bathroom break."
"There are better disposers on the market, but I chose this due to a tight space and I did not have to modify any plumbing. WHERE TO BUY (OR NOT). FYI... My local Home Depot has the Badger 500 in stock. I called the manufacture and I was told the 500 is the same as the 5 and the 500 model is labeled just for Home Depot. But, Home Depot sells the Badger 5 (online only) for about the same price as Amazon. The manufacture's website has the install instructions and spec sheet with all dimensions/drawings available if you want to get a "mental" head start. OTHER OPINIONS. Consumer Reports gives this disposer a low rating for grinding "stringy vegetables". InSinkErator makes other more expensive models that Consumer Reports gave a much higher rating for grinding food."

Upon installing the Evolution Compact I overtightened it ever so slightly and moved the flange about 5 degrees. All-In-One-Kit :1 1/2" P-trap ,13" length hose connectors,1 1/2" flexible wall drain coupling, two 75º elbows, and all connecting accessories. ( Dishwasher drain hose can also be left connected to a waste disposal outlet). A minimum of 4" of vertical clearance is required from the bottom of the sink strainer to the center of the pipe entering the wall. A minimum of 2" from the waste disposal outlet to the center of the pipe entering the wall is also required. Refer to diagram on left for minimum space required under the sink.
