"Great little planer."
"The board just stuck there with the motor running and I didn't hear any inordinate stresses in the machine, although I shut it off quickly, removed the board and increased the thickness."
"It's really heavy, one of the first things I planed was a little wheely cart to roll it around so I didn't have to carry it."
"I have never used one if these until now and almost went for a cheaper brand but I figured it wa worth the extra money for something I plan to keep for a long time."
"Got it just a couple of days ago."
"Worth twice the price."
"I only wish I could have the option to connect dust collection hose on the other side."
"Cuts sanding time down and every piece of wood is the exact size making projects easier and looking better then just hand sanding."

"I had a Ridgid planer go out after for years and it is still being repaired( over a month and a half). The exhuast fan is a plus I use the Vortex dust collector from Rockler and you don't even need the vaccum connected."
"I didn't bother with the 3-blades as I did not want a lot of snipes (as much as I know how to deal with it) and knew it would be hair louder than if I were to install Shelix cutter head so right away as soon as I got the machine, I installed the spiral cutter head and have been having a lot of fun just running rough boards looking like they had a nice shave! You're dealing with almost no snipe and while there's no 'perfect' finish, it's pretty smooth that just a quick sanding takes care of any scalloping affect many people see with the spiral cutter head including on their jointer. In another project I'll be making a jig for this to run some 6' hickory for a cutting board that will go on the kitchen island I'm building."
"I use mine in the low speed mode and only take a small bit at a time, using Maple and oak I am still on the first set of blades."
"Get the stand if you can, the machine weighs more than 90 lbs, and as fast as it moves internally, it could walk if not tied down."
"Excellent product quality."
"Very easy to set-up, clear instructions for use (this is my first planer), and it made very quick work of a hard maple block I was working with."
"Works well, but blades aren't very hard."
"The 735 is the first planer I bought and I have just begun to use it, 1 -2 hours."

"I came to this decision after doing countless hours of research and watching pretty much every video out there comparing, using, and reviewing planers. While big yellow came out on top in most reviews and in forum discussions, I just couldn't justify spending that much money for a tool that will probably not get used that often. Several passes through the planer gave me some nice square edges and most of the warp was planed out. Next I fed a piece of oak pallet wood through the planer that was warped and cracked. While the planer did nothing for the crack, it did remove every bit of nastiness and revealed a beautiful tiger pattern under all the rough wood. In fact, my table saw is probably louder but, put some wood through the planer and you can tell a huge difference in the decibels. So far, I've run pine, poplar, oak, walnut, maple, and purple heart through the planer and it has yet to even act like it's having trouble. Time will tell how well this planer will hold up but, based on it's performance so far, I see no reason why I won't get many years of service out of it."
"The Craftsman could not even compare to this machine, oh and a tip, feed your boards into the machine at an angle, they will be straight every time."
"I've used this for several months now, and it performs at least as well--at least for smaller stock--as well as my industrial planer."
"I was really excited to hear my package had arrived, and hated the fact that I had to wait a week before getting home to use it. The lip of the outfeed table rests a fraction of an inch above the granite surface, so if you weren't expecting it, your lumber will bind up against it and take a large chunk of it."
"I bought for 255 then few days later Amazon dropped their price to 188 so keep an eye out for the best deal on this...Amazon would not refund the difference in price for me."
"for the durability and quality of planing you couldn't ask for better and the price was great."
"Cuts smooth, we ran some walnut and oak through it and it has plenty of power, get ready for a large file of wood chips cause this planner eats wood."
"no power, shuts down when doing almost every pass even if i have brand new blades and am taking off almost nothing."
