"I got this sheath for my Leatherman Surge, after the sheath that originally came with my Surge stretched out, and no longer held it securely. Not a bad theory, but in practice, over time the elastic gets stretched out to the point, that when you lift the Velcro flap, your tool falls out, unless you are very careful to be sure the sheath is exactly vertical."
