"When my hand is resting on the stick and my fingers are resting on their respective buttons, my ring and pinky fingers are basically smashed together to make room. ED gives me enough time where I can take my hand off the stick to rest it, but if I had to always keep my hand there, I might have returned it for something more spacious."
"As an example, the joystick trigger for me fires my primary weapon; if I hold Button 5, it performs a boost; if I hold Button 6, it targets my wingman's target; if I hold Button 7, it locks me onto my wingman's navigation target. There's plenty of buttons, and with modifiers, you'll only rarely need to use the keyboard, and then only for the less common functions. Mapping it to the throttle AXIS will cause it to behave like a real throttle—nudging it halfway forward causes the ship to increase speed to 50% engines, and pulling it back to zero stops the ship."
"The problem I ran into was while trying to simulate real world IFR I would take off and at cruise pull the throttle back just a bit to cruise power, but as soon as I tried to use the buttons for prop or mixture adjustment the slightest touch would cause it to go back to full."
"Well, I can not afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a flight stick."
"You can get used to it enough to have fun though, but it is very dependent on the game. In space sims, you don't need to worry about your ship stalling or going into a spin because you were too erratic with the controls, but in a ww1 or ww2 game, planes can stall out very easily so you will find yourself becoming very frustrated using this HOTAS."

Find Best Price at Amazon"This is a great product to go with my CH Pro Throttle and CH Combat Stick (soon to be VKB Gladiator Pro)."
"Keeping your heels off the ground in those heel cups is not good practice and ultimately keeps you from making finer inputs on the pedals. When I use these pedals I keep my heels on the base and let the heel cups sit in the arches of my feet. I'd much prefer if CH removed the heel cups altogether and extended the front of the base a little so you could comfortably rest your heels on the floor where they belong for the full throw of the pedals."
"I wanted to slide them as rudder pedals, but must have tilted them when the simulator was looking at inputs, so it was looking for tilt, not slide, when operating the simulator."
"This apparently might be the result of oxidised connectors (defect + sitting in a warehouse too long), which according to the internet is easy to fix but I still had these under the return period and just collected my money and invested in a really expensive high quality alternative."
"You will need to dnload a newer version of the software from the CH web site. The pedals seem to be good as far as quality and they work well after getting them set correctly."
"These pedals are great."
"They're also plastic and light, but feel more solid, take a bit more pressure to move and are far easier to center."
"For example, I have the common problem of having to reinstall the software after every reboot and cannot use the CH Control Manager or the pedals will no longer function."

Find Best Price at Amazon"If you are like a normal person and can't afford the $600-$1000 yoke from PFC without getting divorced then you are undoubtedly comparing this yoke (or the CH Eclipse, same thing really) to the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke. CH Products Flight Sim Yoke. Pros: Exceptionally precise. Cheaper. Cons: Feels flimsy. The CH Flight Sim yoke is undoubtedly the better choice between these two. Every single fault the Saitek Yoke has the CH doesn't. Saitek Pro Flight. Pros: Feels sturdy. Looks awesome. Included (and superior to CH version) throttle quadrant. Cons: Fundamentally ineffective. Horrendous binding, regardless of lubrication. First, I bought the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, which comes with their throttle quadrant, and I also bought the Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. If you need to make a slight input with the Saitek yoke, you begin applying that input to the yoke with an amount of force which should be adequate, but it isn't, because that amount of force isn't enough to overcome the indentation. It does come with the Saitek throttle quadrant which is in a different universe than the axis levers on top of the CH yoke. However, the CH Flight sim yoke is also cheaper, allowing you to possibly get the standalone CH Throttle quadrant, which is exceptional, and multi engine capable. Consequently, the CH yoke being cheaper overall makes it possible to also get the CH standalone throttle quadrant, which is really good. Consequently, when I returned the Saitek yoke I also returned the saitek pedals bought all CH products stuff because I didn't want to mix and match. I know what you are thinking, "but what about the CH Eclipse yoke, and the Saitek Cessna Yoke". Well I don't have any hands on comparison but I have seen photographs/videos that show the internals of the Ch Pro Flight Yoke and the CH Eclipse Yoke to be identical. So if you think the CH Eclipse yoke's trim wheels and light up buttons are worth the extra $80 or so, knock your socks off, I didn't, but more importantly if you do go that route I don't think you'll be doing any better or worse in how it primarily functions compared to what I said here about the CH Flight Sim Yoke. I was so overwhelmingly disappointed with the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke that I most likely will never purchase a Saitek product again. If you have any vested interest in flight and know it's principles and how to fly correctly, please dear god please, get a CH yoke, and not the Saitek."
"Buy these and take the money you saved vs. the more expensive options and go get a lesson in a real light aircraft."
"OK, I'm an old private pilot who has also flown Microsoft Flight Simulator before Microsoft owned the product but with this yoke, you really really add to the realism far beyond my expectations."
"It does not perform, on my new CH yoke and I would like to get this HAT SWITCH to work with the new yoke,to change the scenery, and pan in the different views, on my Flight Simulator, Direct X Deluxe Edition. I have been reading the reviews and some people say the program does not recognize the hat switch, and some people had to take the switch apart, and re-wire the switch, or send it back to exchange the yoke because of the faulty hat switch."
"I would love to have given this product 5 stars but the plastic makes the product look pretty cheap and you don't get the feel that thing is actually worth it price but as stated before, the next good flight sim yoke is at least 200 dollars more in cost."

"You can also detach the throttle form the flight stick, however I had to return this item because the cable in which you seperated the two is just to short from reaching around my keyboard, (a normal keyboard should be ok, however i have a Logitech with g keys on the side, making it a little longer size then your standard keyboard). Pros. + For the price this will prolly the best you can get. + Flight stick and throttle. + Flight stick is very smooth and adjustable. + Setup is easy. + great button layout. Cons. - Detaching the throttle from the flight stick , the cable is very short and can not extend. - Not enough buttons for you hardcore people and some games. All in All this is a great Hotas, Specially for the price, If i had a larger desk and could place my keyboard off to the left side and still have access to it as well as this on my right, or the cable between the flight stick and throttle was longer i could have my keyboard in the middle (which was more ideal for me) I would be still using this today, and give it a 5 stars ."

"What an incredibly versatile controller! -Those wacky buttons on the bottom of the controller. I honestly have been hoping controllers from every console would implement snappy paddles for a long time. ("Dual-Stage Triggers"). The Game-cube controller was the best feeling triggers before the Steam controller because of this feature. The Steam Controller has really, really clean and snappy feeling triggers. I just discovered today that you can assign haptic feeling to the triggers too, so if you just bind a button or a key to a soft-pull, you can have the whole controller 'thunk' when you pull it in slightly. In Counter-Strike, I do most of my aiming with the touch-pad because it feels intuitive, but when I want to aim just a tad right, I just keep my finger on the touch-pad, and move my controller a smidge towards the right. The gyro controls are so accurate and intuitive, I can control my automatic fire-spread, which is a level of precision that I can't achieve with anything else other than a mouse. The controller gives me tactile feedback on how much I'm adjusting my aim using the gyro controls. You're going to have to get used to it, just like any other controller. Or, if you're playing a flight game, you can set the gyro controls to pitch/yaw/roll control your plane while based tilt the controller (if you want). Summary: It takes getting used to, but after day five, you'll be complaining about how the Xbox controller has soggy-feeling triggers and doesn't let you aim right. I was vexxed at first by my thumbs going to the wrong place thanks to using an xbox controller, I was concerned by how different the inputs felt, but after going though the menus and making my own controller configurations for games, I don't think I can go back to any other controller. After I get a game all set up, I finally feel like I can forget that I'm using a controller, and really play the game, not fight with the controls."

The stick design hasn't changed in years, so I'm sure there are resources around that have taken it apart and documented it. I cannot provide a link directly, but you can find it on reddit: /r/hoggit/comments/384bkn/ch_fighterstick_throttle_wheel_has_jitter_any_fix/."
"Pros: - Buttons are easy to press and in a comfortable position for small hands - The Thrustmaster Warthog is another stick that has similar dimensions but the buttons are much stiffer. I don't want. - Hats are in a good location. - Lots of buttons. Cons: - Looks - it's a functional device with no flash. - Two fewer buttons than the Warthog and single stage trigger - The Warthog has a paddle trigger for the pinky, the thumb hat has a button press and the trigger is 2 stages."
"Go for it and you will be happy :) I plan in future buy CH products from Amazon.com. Thanks Amazon and big respect Yours happy client."

"I guess there may be short circuit inside, I had to open the bottom again (without remove the warranty lable! ), I find a hot point by my finger, and found one of the wires is too long to short to the ground."
"High quality build, its plastic, but not thin or flimsy, and the internals are mostly metal."
"Throttle is sublime, wouldn't dream of changing a thing; its super comfortable, the hat switches and buttons are well placed and numerous. Both stick and throttle look as though they are made for moderate to large size hands, and though mine are small, I suspect any size hand will find these both comfortable after a bit of use."

"Optional items for Warthog Stick and Logitech Saitek Pro Flight Pedal are crazy expensive and not returnable."
