"Not only did they significantly reduce the battery life of the controller itself (I get like 4-6 hours at the MOST even with the lights turned all the way to the dimmest setting), but they seem to be MORE cheaply made than the PS3 versions. And the battery lasted FOREVER compared to today's PS4 controllers. I don't throw tantrums like little kids do and toss them across the room or bite them or try to crush them or abuse them in some torrential nerd rage. Sony's peripheral scheme is a money grab and makes wanting to play a chore when you don't know if your controller is going to be charged enough or you forgot to put in on the charger the night before or OMG it fell off the couch onto my CASHMERE RUG and now the RIGHT ANALOG STICK IS FAIL. It all ended up being more of a gimmick to take a jab at Nintendo and the Wii rather than a genuine innovation that players would utilize day-in and day-out."

Find Best Price at Amazon"tl;dr We definitely need to get the word out to people who are buying new Pros to use ROTTR (Rise of the Tomb Raider) as a benchmark to test if you got a bad Pro or not. Long story short, my next brand spanking new PS4 Pro started crashing as well. After doing a lot of research, all the games that were crashing on me (Diablo 3 and ROTTR were the biggest culprits) were being played without hitch by most PS4 Pro owners. I was outside my return window so I had no choice but to send mine to Sony for repair. This was a hard decision as most games still ran just fine (including most PS4 Pro patched games - Skyrim SE, FFXV, AC Syndicate, Shadow of Mordor, Uncharted 4, etc), and I didn't want to replaced a perfectly working system with a refurbished one, but what choice was left? Without a doubt, the crashing was definitely hardware related as many people had suggested in forums. If I had to guess (and this is just pure speculation on my part) I would say the problem stems from a very large batch of bad PS4 Pro GPU's. I know no one wants to hear that their brand new console is defective, but if you are experiencing the same, it's true. For reference, below is my timeline for Playstation repair: 1/25/17: Requested Warranty Repair. 1/30/17: Received Return Box and shipped. 2/2/17: Delivered to Sony Repair in Laredo TX. 2/8/17: Received an email stating my product was shipped. 2/14/17: Received brand new PS4 Pro. After this experience, I'm definitely buying the PS4 Pro insurance if it becomes available (be aware the regular Playstation Protection Plan currently doesn't cover the Pro)."
"And as of system update 4.5 we're given an option in the system settings labeled "boost mode" which allows games that don't directly support ps4 pro to access it's more powerful hardware. Almost every major game released since the PRO launch has had some form of PRO support whether it be improved visuals, frame rates, or both! Here are some such games: Skyrim - runs at a slightly lower framerate in many scenes compared to base ps4. Deus ex - runs at a much lower framerate in many scenes compared to base ps4. Watch Dogs 2 - suffers from frame pacing issues not present on base ps4. World of Final Fantasy - suffers from worse image quality on pro (lol). MOST game's "pro" modes are superior in image quality and run better or equal to their "base" mode. It doesn't matter whether your Ps4 Pro is set to output 4k or 1080p, A Pro supported game will ALWAYS run in it's "pro" mode. All Sony has to do to fix this is push an update that allows us to opt out of "pro" mode for these rare cases where we get poorly optimized pro support."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I got my copy in a day early so I've had time to get up to "The Native Fortress" in Crash 1 and about halfway thorugh Crash 2, and I feel safe to say that Vicarious Visions has created an extremely faithful, almost to a fault, reproduction of the original Crash games that should please any fans of the classics. This isn't so much a problem for Crash 2 (I haven't played either version of Crash 3, yet), but Crash 1 has some needlessly brutal levels, such as The Native Fortress, which is so cheap and full of fake difficulty I moved on to Crash 2 instead. Crash 2 is still a phenomenal game, and it doesn't so much have bad levels as it has little gotchas here and there that feel a bit cheap, such as a jump in one of the snow levels where you basically have to be off the ledge before jumping to make it, or some spots in the levels where you're running away from something where you just can't see an obstacle coming up and have to memorize the layout after a few failures. Every level is filled to the brim with as much detail as possible, and yet it stays completely faithful to the original artistic idea of Crash Bandicoot."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I liked the Call of Duty franchise because they usually had a certain degree of historical context, which was completely eroded away by the cheesy fantasy futuristic gameplay in recent titles. I was skeptical that it would be as good or better than World at War since Treyarch would not be involved but nonetheless I was content as it was a step in the right direction to bring this franchise back to its former glory. Apart from the main menu, which was well done, the game overall seems to lack the serious tone and atmosphere that World at War had. Or was this done on purpose to create a more "nostalgic" feel for those who played the original Call of Duty titles on the PS1? There is not a lot of weapon variety within their respective categories (more than likely done on purpose for future DLCs) and the few that are there sound the same. Unlike World at War, there are no tanks to maneuver and no more victory songs for your respective faction after winning a match. I wanted a similar, if not superior gameplay to what we experienced when the franchise was in its prime (COD4-World at War era) with next-generation console graphics. Only reason I am giving it 3 stars is for the wise decision, although poorly executed, to go back to WW2."
