Using the provided drum trigger and pedal....The cymbals require a very hard hit. The drum heads had a "sweet spot" and if you hit them wrong you got a flubbed response on the game. In the "freeplay" section of the game I found that rapid hits didn't register in real time."
"Pros: Build Quality. Drum Accuracy (No missed hits). Feel (These drums feel great to play). Rebound (You get a lot of rebound off of the drum head). Sensitivity (Even very light hits register). Easy Setup (about 45min but that's because there is so much customization possible). Compact (they actually fold up to about the same size as the RB2 drums). Metal Drum Pedal (It's not going to break like my RB2 pedal did). Cons: I really only have one con and its very small and trivial. I would like to see a bottom brace on the bottom of the rack that you could hook the drum pedal to so it wouldn't slide around as much and so it would brace the drums better."
"One thing to note: There is an adjustment at the top of the cymbal stand to keep them from rotating. Another thing to watch for... the cymbal holders are held in place with a metal loop with threads on the end. The wingnuts they supply are very large and the threads are not that long so I found myself stripping the very end of the threads trying to get the wingnut on. The kick pedal is really made to simulate a hi hat pedal so I was a little off-put at first but it still works quite well and is lightyears beyond the original stock RB1 pedal. The pads never miss hits but unfortunately the cymbals still drop notes quite frequently. Some people suggest hitting the edges of them with the stick, some say tighten them down very tight and some say remove the felt padding beneath them. Edit: 9/23/08 - Well the Nylon wingnuts held for one or two moves but I ended up replacing the nut within the plastic wingnut."

"I found this new drum set online."
"we were missing the pedal, I am unsure if it included it in the package."
"Works but arrived in very used, beat up condition, not happy for the price, but the kids liked it, drum sticks not included."
"Drums were functional enough, red pad began degrading pretty quickly."
"The yellow drum head was cracked in shipping and the bass pedal doesn't work."
"I like the drumset but didn't realize till i arrived at my house that it was RB1 I can play rockband which makes me happy but the lack of cymbals and double bass still leaves me wanting more now time to buy rb2 or rb3 drums."
"Item was returned as it was broken."

Find Best Price at Amazon"For everyone on here who can't figure out how to assemble these (which is understandable, because the directions are terrible): Each clamp comes in two pieces, with a slight space between them. Take them and SQUEEZE THEM TOGETHER as hard as you can until you hear two loud pops, one on each end. To set up like an actual drummer, you need to connect your crash and your hat on the LEFT side of the kit."
"This is hard for me to say because I'm really enjoying my rock band experience I always your armor but the plastic that holds the symbols to the Rock Band drum set snap very easily so this is quite a disappointing fact rock band itself is great fun but I do think they need to maybe think metal instead of plastic."
"I have the RB2 wireless drum set so I was good to go. Final Note: This set DOES work with the Wii, Xbox, PS2 and PS3 drum sets."
"I don't know what the life time is considered to be and I play with a light touch as I have problems with my hands. Eventually I pulled the rubber tops off and cut galvanized steel (heating ducts) into rings to hold them together. The drums still work-to quiet them down, I had put 1/4" thick mouse pads on them when they were new."
"Hit the cymbal too hard, it doesn't register and you miss the note. Now it's kinda hard to not hit the cymbal hard on accident when playing blue notes in rapid succession or rather a faster song and when the blue scrolls down, you hit it harder than usual. Well time has passed and now I can't even play songs with this crappy cymbal anymore because the hit detection is all but gone besides a SLIVER just as big as the drum stick on the very center of the cymbal. I've always heard the rumors of how bad the hit detection on these things are, but I never thought it was as bad as it actually is."

Find Best Price at Amazon"While the cymbals add a lot of flash to fills and free-form playing by being mapped to their own sounds (Yellow - Hi-Hat, Blue - Ride, Green - Crash), giving you eight total sounds in those modes, that flash doesn't carry over to the songs themselves. The volume of striking the cymbals is kind of a turn-off, too: now that Harmonix has delivered a much quieter drum kit, adding the cymbals suddenly makes it about as loud to hit as the RB1 kit had been. It's not bad if you've got the volume up, but if you're playing at night and trying to keep the noise down, you may find yourself hearing the tap of your sticks against the cymbals and little else."
"I've seen several reviews here that says that the cymbals slips when it was hit too hard and sometimes the cymbals double-hits when hit too hard. Cymbals Double-hit: I noticed that one of the three cymbals I got was too sensitive. After trying this and testing with songs with lots of cymbals (Dead on Arrival) I noticed that I never missed a note again when hitting the sensitive cymbal."
"These cymbals definitely make playing the drums a lot more fun. Even when I play Beatles Rock Band (which has no support for Pro Drums), I still use these cymbals because they're just so fun. I'd strongly recommend making your own dedicated stands for the cymbals or maybe buying some real cymbal stands, if you can figure out a way to make that work."
"These are hands down the best things I've added to my Rock Band drums outside the silencers."

"The broken piece of black plastic was approximately a 2"X8" piece, which was not an operating part but a molding around one of the drum pads."
"Product was as described."
"I tried improvising the feet with my old Rock Band drum set and thought I could make it work but then the cymbals wouldn't fit and now this is useless."
"Both cymbals don't work and missing the cord that hooks them up."

"He's first ones busted a few months after buying them and he repeatedly had to take them apart and reconnect the wires to keep them working."

"Pleasantly surprised to have received the Konami brand mic, as I didn't really care which brand of mic it was, all I wanted was a mic to play Rock Band3 on PS3."
"If you want a cheap USB mic to plug into your computer, this is literally the cheapest thing you can find."
"This is an awesome microphone."
"This worked out well with the Xbox 360 games that required a microphone."
"You know how this works, ask grandchildren what they want and you get the list, then a week before Christmas, there is the statement "Hey Mom you know what I really would like......" Now the way this goes is Mom calls grand mom and relays the message."
"I was hoping that the game would "grade" your singing like in rock band but the effect still allows a third prayer to get involved."
"I ordered this excited to have a Logitech mic again."

"Got this for my twelve-year-old son and he loves it."
"I have played rhythm games with guitar shaped controllers for ages... Way back when Guitar Hero 1 came out the concept of playing a game with a 5-buttoned plastic guitar and living out your rock fantasies with little to no practice was almost too much awesome to handle. In pro keys mode you play every note on the keyboard. It really makes you feel like you can play keyboard, unlike the 5 button approach to the guitars."
"Luckily enough there is a "Learn an Instrument" Mode that will roughly teach you some basics, but I found it failed to even give you the correct way to place your hands. After you get accustomed to the very very basic of things you can move on to the learn a song mode (Only available for songs from Harmonix not RBN) this will give you the most repeated parts of the song and your goal is to get 100% on each section. So it doesn't really teach you anything you just got to figure it out as you go."
"This keyboard is a better quality than most Rock Band controller instruments."
"On the other side of things, my 5 year old daughter can use it to play the guitar/bass parts more easily than using the actual guitar controller, because there is only one button to press for each color, and doesn't require the coordination of fretting a note with the left hand and picking it with the right."
