You have to be very careful connecting multiple charging blocks together to avoid bending the connectors. It would appear that due to the location of plug, the cord has no support and over time, the subtle movement that comes with adding/removing the controllers, in combination with the cord just hanging there, makes it susecptible to bending."
"So far it works great batteries hold a charge for a good 12 hours and only charge in about 30 minutes I do have slight trouble with placing a certain remote in the charger but it's not that much of a bother and yes these do fit the Xbox one s controller if you need rechargeable batteries I highly recommend these."

"This is because the battery compartment on a 360 controller juts out from the back of the controller, so the 360 charging station had nicely-formed depressions that the battery settles in, even with just casually dropping the controller onto the charging station. The Xbox One charger doesn't have those nice depressions to catch the controller and hold it in place, because the battery compartment on a One controller is flush with the back of the controller."

This one has a lip on it which I think is intended to make sure the controller is firmly in contact with the charging contacts. The bottom of the Xbox One controller is much flatter than the 360, so I think it has to have the lip to make sure it lines up with the contacts."
