I've enjoyed them all - and the X is by far, the most polished in terms of user experience and user interface. 2) UX/UI: Over the generations of Xbox consoles, I've always felt the UX/UI has always been a step or two behind Playstation. Audio also gets a nice improvement as well with the addition of Dolby ATMOS. My Samsung HW-K850 supports it - but getting the Xbox One X to allow me to select Atmos output was a royal pain in the a$$. To get Atmos to work, you're first prompted to download the (kinda) free Dolby Access app (I say 'kinda' free, because there is an 'Atmos for headphones' option that will cost you $15 to enable). The Dolby app then guides you through the necessary settings you must enable on the Xbox - but this is where it went awry in my case. I did stumble across a solution, in which you must also enable a setting in the TV & One Guide section; "Audio" must be set to "surround" (instead of the default "stereo uncompressed" in that menu too - something the Dolby app (and Microsoft support) missed. 4) Other features: Coming from the Xbox One w/ Kinect, I had opted to connect my cable box (Charter/Spectrum) - which offers the most outdated and terrible guide/menu in the known universe. The issue here, is that for games that take advantage of 4K resolution, typically offer higher-resolution textures to go along with it - which, according to Microsoft, can inflate game size by 33% or more. I feel that Microsoft may have missed the mark on this one; Why tout the most powerful console ever, and pair it with a HDD that is honestly too small?"

"The XBox One S should have been the real first version of the XBox One released in 2013 But, MS made a number of huge missteps and let the Internet dictate there "Brand". The last 4 years have been anti-climatic to say the least on every platform. With the internet having a lot more damaged then good for all consumers. All gamers should be on the same page But, it's not that way everyone is to busy fighting over Frames Per second, or picture resolution. Brand loyalty should go so far. Fast Forward to November 7th 2017 and you have the One X aka XBox One 4k Pro. This is for now the most powerful console until the next Generation begins (2-3years from now). Is it worth the somewhat high SRP. Yes and No. Cons: You should have a Ultra HD tv this system is built around 4K. If you have a 1080p HD tv stick with the Xbox One or XBox One S. It's a massive waste of money to own this now if you don't have the tv it's made for. Have a middle of road Home Theater. with two different audio choices in digital optical and HDMI Audio. You should have a Home Theater set-up. Playing some of these game with DTS sound or Higher enhances the experience 10x. almost 1/2 the games during this generation have better pure audio then some of the biggest summer movie block busters. The HDMI Cable is cheap much like the cable that was bundled with the XBox One S. You'll need a 4K High-Speed HDMI as of late they are dirt cheap at the most you should spend $20 on a replacement Cable. You'll need a 4k High-Speed HDMI cable to get the most out of your console and tv. 1TB might sound like a lot it's not. Make sure you have at least one 4-5tb external Hard Drive. The 4k Patches are insanely huge. The Quantum Break 4K enhanced patch is almost 200GB. Titanfall 2 68.7GB, Wolfenstein 2 51.5BG, The Evil Within 2 29.7GB, Tekken 7 43GB, Rise of the Tomb Raider 30.5GB, Mass Effect: Andromenda 45.5GB, Mafia III 50.2GB, L.A. Noire 17GB (which is a pretty much 4k up scaled) , Homefront: The Revolution 45.5GB, Gears of War 4 107GB, Halo 5 98.3GB. Doom 58.7GB, Dishonored 2 54GB, Dead Rising 4 59.1 GB, Assassin's Creed: Origins 43GB, Killer Instinct 47.1 GB, Just Cause 3 47.2GB, Ghost Recon: Wildlands 52.4GB, Agents of Mayhem 45.4GB, Injustice 2 31.8GB, Resident Evil 7 20.4GB. The disc tray has been moved more toward the bottom of the unit. I don't like the location just seems weird to me maybe it's my OCD?"

Find Best Price at Amazon"They have definitely improved many things like the item balance or if you fall off the race track, Lakitu fishes you out a lot faster compared to previous games. Game runs at a solid 60 fps, but when it is 3 or 4 player split-screen, the frame rate noticeable drops to 30 fps. Battle mode obviously had very little effort put in considering how you play on some of the race tracks (yes, the same race tracks you race on) that are barely modified. Btw, you should play battle mode with a large group of players; otherwise it turns into two people aimlessly wandering around a large empty race track trying to find each other. The 150cc AI would be a good start for what online play is like, considering my experience of the AI consisted of being shot at a lot and when I did get hit by the AI, every so often it would be multiple times in a row…. …which is nothing compared to how online play is like. I will admit that I have seen some pretty nasty moves that other players have pulled like people in lower places firing behind them a lot even though they are clearly in range of the racers ahead of them. I have ran into some instances where I was hit more times than the AI does in a single race."
"The music is fantastic, they updated some of the old songs from the previous games so some of them bring back great memories. I'm so focused on the road that I see flashes of cool stuff in the background but I'd love to really take the time to check it all out. The flying feature is new to me, there are times that you are launched in the air and you don't just get flung like in the Wii/Cube/N64 versions, now you have a glider that you can control...and it matters! This game is highly customizable, you can change the items available, the level of the CPUs, random tracks, this means you can tailor it to how you want to play. We spent 5 minutes looking for people to only see them blur by before being able to do real damage, the track was too tight to turn around and pursue easily. I do not like this change and only hope that Nintendo will release some battle arenas in an update, heck I'd pay for them in DLC."

"TL:DR If you don't have a PS4 compatible headset(except that crappy one ear thing my dogs immediately ate) then yes, totally get these. I thought it was too good to be true but went ahead and purchased these based on reviews from many sources. My first impression was, "Whoa..." I've been using a Bluetooth headset with regular surround sound. I plugged the dongle to these in and it immediately synced up and integrated into the PS4 popup menu(battery, mic, headset, surround sound icons). Pros: Wireless. 6+hour battery life. Can use while charging. 7.1 Surround sound. Downloadable sound profiles(PS4). Dedicated controls for volume, game/chat volume, surround on/off, mute, two sound profiles via switch. Can use with PC. Good mic. Large cups fit over large ears. Comfortable with bulky plastic glasses on. The completely drown out your gf/bf husband/wife. You can pretend they are a tiny person giving you the hugs you missed as a child. Less than 100 bucks. Cons: They are a little bit heavy/clumsy and can slide around your head but I quickly got used to them. The cups tend to get hot after a while so remember to adjust them once in a while to avoid swamp ear. The construction feels cheap but I suppose they had to cut corners somewhere. They wont lend you money(like ever). Regarding the headset problems I mentioned earlier: I ran into the snap crackle stutter problem some people have complained about on the internet on my PC. I almost returned these immediately after unboxing(some weirdos call this "opening") them and I am so glad that I did a little troubleshooting instead. No solution, Turns out the culprit was GameScannerService.exe which is a useless piece of bloatware that everyone who has installed Razer software on their PC has running."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Huge changes to the pokemon formula since Pokemon X & Y, no longer as it's strictly battle and collecting focused (although still present) as they added variety of mechanics to switch things up a bit and to bring more variety in gameplay. After you battle a pokemon once, the game will tell you what moves is super effective or not in the battle menu once you encounter the same pokemon the second time. There are 4 islands in the game, each of which are controlled by 4 Island Kahunas. To get to them you have to get pass Trail Captains and Todum Pokemon. Trail captain will give you quizzes, side quests to complete, and/or fight in traditional battles. Todum Pokemon. Z-Moves. With a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal you can use a pokemon's ultimate move once per battle. Battle Royal. A 4 player free-for-all where the battle ends after all of one's pokemon trainer's faints. Once a pokemon reaches level 100, they can go through hyper training which can improve a Pokemon's IV. 10. Night and Day phase, New Pokemon. Pokemon Sun goes the traditional time route while Moon does the opposite. Some events also play out differently like different Totum Pokemon on the same island/trail. In traditional Pokemon fashion you can only get some pokemon in each version so trading is required either with a friend or if you own both versions. I'd say some of overall models of new pokemon are better looking than the last batch in previous iterations of the pokemon series. Pokemon Refresh. Similar to Pokemon amie but with more grooming options. -Returning mechanics: Pokebank return, you can now transfer all your pokemon to Sun and Moon. Clothing Options: Although more options are available, it still feel very limited. Mega Evolutions return, but none for new pokemon from what i've discovered. Overall, love the changes to the traditional formula as it gives the Pokemon Series a nice refresh and is more streamline to play."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I ended up taking the PS VR back to Best Buy. I've got a solid state C: drive and really didn't want to install there - but it was inordinately difficult to switch. One would think that the lines on top of the sensor should point to the general middle of where you will sit/stand. If you get them close enough to where they need to be, the install will show you how to twist things around - but it definitely seems odd setting them up originally. I can sit and stand and pretty much anything in between and both head and hands are tracked very well. On initial setup, you use the touch sensors with sound/vibration to delineate your play area without your Rift on. it sounds more complicated than it really is - I've got an oddly shaped area with other desks and bookshelves and it works just fine. Reloading is a neat flip of the hands and the sensors pick things up just fine. It can be tough finding your way around the world flying like Superman... Then the one I was really wanting to try... Elite Dangerous. Things to note here: if you already have Elite installed, you have to go into graphics settings and select the headset from the 3d options. Initial setup had me completely turned around in my chair in order to see the menu. You may have to fiddle with that a little bit to get your head properly seated in your in-game body. Eyes hurting from flying too close to that sun while doing a fuel scoop - just look around your cockpit to take a break! Okay - that one breaks the immersion a good bit as your body is left behind."

When I checked over a year later and saw that the price had been cut in half, the Xbox controller had been replaced with Touch, an extra sensor was included, and 8+ games were given away for free, I decided to pull the trigger."
